Absolutely delicious food coupled with wonderful customer service. Today (2nd visit) I got a taco salad to go and it was great. The beans are amazing and authentic, the chicken is juicy and full of flavor, and as a bonus, I asked for pico de Gallo to be added which made the salad perfect. A surprise was that they included chips and tortillas with salsa and queso though my order was to go! I had more than enough for my lunch today and tomorrow! Their salsa is the best I've had from a traditional Mexican food place in years and the queso is a favorite. Portion sizes are above average and prices are great. Service was fast, but not very friendly. The hostess\waitress was unnecessarily curt, almost to the point of rude. The place wasn't busy, but she didn't bother to be friendly or hospitable, at all. Luckily, it seemed the few employees there tag teamed our table and it wasn't only her that helped us. The rice was great. Enchiladas were mid. The chicken was dry and stringy. The kids didn't seem to enjoy their food very much. The chips are very tough.

We tipped decently, in spite of our lack of enjoyment. But we weren't thanked for our business. It's not good practice to make your customers feel like you're doing them a favor, when they pay you to feed them. We won't...

It was a slow start, not because of service, but because the chips and salsa were not initially impressive.

House salsa is below average and the chips came out stale. However, the spicy salsa came out warm. A little kick and a nice woody flavor to it. A new basket of chips arrived and all was balanced in the universe. They were fresh.

I ordered the mocajete bowl. Usually an impressively presented meal and it DID NOT DISSAPOINT! More than enough food. Tons of grilled onions! Highly recommend it.

The service was amazing. 8x my water was refilled and it was never empty. They were consistently checking on me.

Amazing. Regular queso is really good but I like a kick so we ordered the habenero queso and oh my lord it for sure has a kick. Not for the weak but Amazing. I got the chimi and my husband got enchiladas and both were amazing. The sopapillas were super fluffy and warm. Definitely my new favorite Mexican restaurant.

Hands down the best Mexican Restaurant in the Shawnee Tecumseh area. Great tasting food, very affordable, friendly staff, plus their queso is awesome. Its a white queso that is not watered down and is thick and deliciously. Plus their chips are fresh and good to accompany the dip. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Hands down the best Mexican Restaurant in the Shawnee Tecumseh area. Great tasting food, very affordable, friendly staff, plus their queso is awesome.
