Went last night for the first time. We were welcomed right as we came in the door. We sat down and within minutes Yami our friendly waitress came to greet us and asked if we would like drinks. We ordered a Pacifico for him and a Mexican Coke for me. Our drinks arrived quickly. Yami answered all of our questions before we ordered. We decided to try the Camarones De Ajo, he ordered the salad and I had the albondigas soup. The soup and salad were served promptly. The salad was fresh and the albondigas soup was fantastic. It didn't take long for the entree to arrive. Once Yami served us our entree I noticed the plate presentation was beautiful. We enjoyed the camarones and the rice with pineapple slices with melted cheese was amazing. After our meal we were approached by Olivia asking if we wanted dessert of course the apple flautas or fried ice cream sounded wonderful, we were stuffed from the wonderful meal. Olivia was very friendly also. Their prices are very reasonable for the portion you receive, which is very satisfying. Their menu has several choices, including Mediterranean options. They do serve alcohol but are not a full service bar. They do offer Jack and coke, margaritas and some other simple drinks. I definitely recommend that you try this place, whether you live in Tehachapi or are just visiting stop by Buelna's Grill for a great meal, lunch or dinner you will be happy and full when you leave. I look forward to trying some of the other menu options. Thank you Yami and Olivia for a wonderful...
Read moreMy boyfriend treated me and his kid here because he seen this has a high rating on google. Let me tell you, it was very busy at the time but it felt claustrophobic. As we sat down to order, the lady was really nice and apologized for it being busy. Afterwards, we all ordered our food which seemed to take forever, after about 20 mins, a guy server gave us the food without utensils. We all looked at each other with confusion, how are we gonna eat this food without utensils?!
My boyfriend started to get fed up with the service and asked him for the utensils and dude just didn’t seem like he didn’t want to work there. He gave us what we needed and we all hoped the wait would be worth it. Nope. Food was not good. I didn’t even finish my food.
After leaving, my boyfriend said “NEVER AGAIN”
Takeaways: Felt forgotten at times Food was just not good and salty Long wait to get food and to get the check Claustrophobic and Dark Guy server must of had a bad day
Positives: Waitress was...
Read moreThe food was okay. I gotta admit that I came here for an old favorite not realizing that it was no longer Las Palmas so my disappointment prolly had lots to do with the fact that it was a whole different restaurant entirely. Keeping that in mind, the food wasn't spectacular and was over priced (but so is everything else right now) but I'd say the waiter was doing his best to see that everyone was properly greeted as they entered, quickly sat, he was quick to take orders, the order was completely right and the service was quick. So I guess I'd give the cooks and the wait staff 5 stars for their part. Also, the establishment is clean and still retains some of the enjoyable atmosphere that Las Palmas once provided...
