CAVA — Restaurant in Temecula

I used to eat Cava all the time when I lived in Virginia and missed it so much when I moved back to California. When I heard that a location was coming to Temecula, I was so excited. I saw some of the negative reviews and I was nervous that this location wouldn’t live up to my previous experiences. Now that I have eaten here several times, I truly can’t understand the negative reviews. The fact that they are busy is a good thing and hopefully they will stick around for a long time! The food is fantastic and the portions are huge. If you don’t like the price, don’t eat here. Eating out is expensive these days, but I will gladly spend my hard earned money here over and over again. I order the grains bowl with falafel and I’m always impressed with how good their falafel is. It doesn’t have a hard and greasy fried crust like most falafel does. It’s very tender. I understand it's a new place and they have to work out their kinks but the service was incredibly slow. When I finally got to order my bowl the line was so slow that my food was cold by the time I paid. Two workers talking by the register were doing nothing but talking and laughing. I asked for dressing on the side which was placed into a small cup. The server put the dressing in the cup, then continued joking with the cashier and put dressing in my bowl. Completely distracted. I was there an hour from start to finish and the line was only to the front door. Will not be going back. Not to mention the small amount of food for the price is ridiculous. Will continue to go to Carmel Mountain Cava where service is much better and efficient and they don't skimp...

First time and was so excited but won't go back .. had a pickup order and ordered a chicken Greek pita wrap chips feta dip and a drink . Picked up the bag and got to car and saw no chips and an empty cup . I understood the cup just forgot about it because usually you get handed a cup when picking up an order ? Then I get home and my chicken Greek wrap ONLY has feta in it ?? I was so frustrated and bummed .
