Apparently only good for dine-in customers?
I used to go here a lot, and it was always a wonderful experience. And when COVID hit, their curbside pickup really excelled. Unfortunately, the past few times we've ordered food for pickup, they've really failed to provide good service. The food is never ready when it's supposed to be, and they always tell us "we're just waiting on one thing"...and then half an hour to TWO HOURS later, the order is finally complete with the majority of it being cold and dried out or soggy by then.
Today, especially, was the worst. They weren't even busy, and even if they had started cooking the "one thing" we were supposedly waiting on when I arrived (ten minutes after the promised pickup time), it still should've been done 20 minutes before they did have it ready for us. And then when I double-checked the order before leaving, and the side was missing from the kid's meal, they tried to tell me that I didn't order a kid's meal, even though it was on the ticket and they'd prepped the juice for it.
I gave them 2 stars because I know the food is good (when it's fresh), but their order pickup service has plummeted way down and their prices have really shot up. Overall no longer worth the money, in my opinion. But, who knows, maybe if you dine in, you might get decent service? I just think it's unfortunate that they don't seem to realize anymore that pickup orders are real customers, too. Also, it sucks that they require me to tip when placing the order, so somebody is just pocketing 20-30 bucks for giving my family awful service and wasting our entire night not doing their job.
Bottom line: Food still tastes good, but just not worth the hassle unless you have a few hours and a ton of money...
Read moreWent for my husband’s birthday June 1st 2024 (his request)While waiting for our daughter, we decided to go into the bar and have a drink. we told the host we were waiting for someone so we would like to just go into the bar and have a drink and then be seated at a table in the dining room. he handed us menus and told us to go have a seat inside the bar. I told him we don’t want to eat inside the bar. We would like to eat in the dining room after we have a drink. He handed us the menus and said there’s a table inside the bar . We sat at a table and waited. We ended up just eating there told the guy it was my husband‘s birthday. He never even acknowledged that it was his birthday. I said it 3 different times throughout our visit and again it was never acknowledged and by acknowledged, I mean, simply saying happy birthday thanks for coming to see us anything but he never even acknowledged it nor did he even look at him in the eye he could careless. My daughter’s boyfriend ordered chicken fettuccine with broccoli , and there was no chicken in it so had to flag down the bartender to let him know there was no chicken in the chicken fettuccine. We ordered appetizers prior. The mozzarella sticks were just OK. We were never given the bread. I had to request the bread and the oil and we ordered a dessert FOR MY HUSBANDS BIRTHDAY the chocolate cake was absolutely disgusting it was not only dry but had no taste. We have eaten there many times prior to 2020 and have always loved this place. It has since gone downhill. We will pass eating there in the future. It’s really sad to go out for a meal to celebrate someone’s birthday and not feel important. It...
Read moreRomano’s Macaroni Grill will always be one of my favorite family restaurants! They always have great food and great service! The penne rustica pasta with shrimp and chicken is a definite MUST TRY! I just went yesterday and took my 1 year old son, he had the kids Mac and cheese and loved the bread dipped in the tomato basil soup! After every bite he said mmmm! Jeff was our server and he took excellent care of us, he is great with kids too, which is very appreciated when you go out and have dinner with little ones! After reading some most recent reviews I noticed his name being plastered on here in a negative light which was SHOCKING, Because he was so great to us and had such a cool personality. I have worked in restaurant and have seen this type of inappropriate usage of these review sites before.. First of all, it is clearly a violation of privacy to use an employee’s full name on these sites and I hope they are taken off for that reason, I already reported them for this reason. What this seems like to me is either another employee asked their friends to write something horrible about this employee jeff or someone that knows him did In order to sabotage him...and that is not okay. How else would these so called “customers” have his full name, it is so obvious that these claims are false and made up. So sad. I wish people didn’t abuse these review sites because these times are hard for the people that work in restaurants right now.. thank you for the great experience Jeff. I hope to come in and have you take care of us again, you...
