Im always fair about my assessments and reviews. I love giving praise and reviewing my local sushi and restaurant spots and giving them their spotlight when they are earned. This place has zero love from me. I spent more than 33$ on 6 pinky sized pieces of sashimi that were no more fresh than every sushi restaurant around them. If I pay that much for sashimi, I expect it to be mind-blowing. It was beyond small and average at best. When I called in, I was told I would have to wait a minimum of 30 minutes for a to go order. I get told every time i order that they are so busy that it will take a minimum of 50 minutes but the issue is its one dad making all the sushi and he doesnt want to hire anyone else. A single togo order of 6 pieces of sushi and wings is 35 minutes on a Wednesday. I drove the 1 minute to the restaurant... There were 2 tables total sat in the restaurant on the specific Wednesday when I arrived. It was 9:30 pm. I was still made to wait 33 minutes. It is a father and his kids running the establishment, and they are in no mood to cater to you or your needs. Let me make that clear. I tried to order some basic sushi with little alterations and it was a NO GO. Last time I came, i made it clear I was allergic to shrimp (I AM), and i was told I could "pay more" to swap the one piece of shrimp out. This place is not it if you want a great go to spot in the area. If you want a warm and friendly welcome or a deal with great food...dont come here. My bill was almost $50 for this. And how is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered pick-up for the Alaska Roll, Hamahama and Red Dragon Roll since it was our first time trying...I was instantly intrigued to dine-in by the looks of the place! It has a very cozy and authentic environment.
The rolls we ordered were all amazing! The seared salmon on the Alaska was done extremely well and flavorful. The albacore on the Hamahama was of great quality and cut (which is why I want to go back to dine-in for sashimi). A dragon roll is hard to mess up...their spicy tuna has nice spice level.
This is the third place in Temecula that I have eaten sushi from...I was nearly going to stop eating Temecula sushi all together...but felt this place was worth a try. The staff was also very pleasant. Glad to support The Sushi Sushi! š
update**: It took me 2 months until I dined in at The Sushi Sushi. Went in around 8pm on a Sunday (they close at 9pm)...the staff was extremely pleasant with everyone in the restaurant. We ordered the 3 fish Sashimi, a baked Salmon Roll and the Hamamhama (again!), along with garlic edamame. The baked salmon roll was amaaaaazing. Cuts of the sashimi were enjoyable, specifically the salmon and albacore. Tuna sashimi has become less appealing to me over the years. The food will take some time depending what you order, considering how many sushi chefs...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love sushi! We moved from The Valley to Temecula 6 months ago and started looking for sushi places. I choose this place because it had a 4.8 review. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They served rancid wine. The fish was subpar. The place was empty when we got there and one of the guest at our table placed an order, maybe 40 seconds after we placed ours. Not only did they charge more for a cucumber cut roll with the rice on the outside, they did not bring it out until after all the food we ordered which was 5 different rolls and 5 different fish were gone. I had to go to the desk to find out what was going on and she blamed us for ordering it after the fact. The place was hot and ppl had to say something for them to open the doors. They are not cheap, for what you get. If you love sushi, not just rolls. Definitely do...
