Years ago, I used to go to Jamba every single day (in another city). It was, hands down, the best juice joint in the marketplace. Moved away to where there weren't Jamba locations for a few years. In that time, the company reduced its menu, phased out wheat grass, stopped using insulated cups, seemingly changed their boisterous customer service "welcome" experience to become more generic.
Just moved to Tempe, about a mile from this location. Thought: "great, let's try it again." Downloaded app, selected Watermelon Lemonade & added to cart. It was $.50 more than listed price in cart. This didn't happen to other Watermelon drinks, just the one I wanted. Ended up with Watermelon classic. Did not like that there was also additional fee to pay for web/app service. Every company is begging consumers to order on app...but at Jamba, you pay for the privilege. Nonsense.
Maybe these are not the "fault" of this location. They were nice enough handing me the order. But the smoothie was terribly thin. Not the right consistency! Instantly, totally melted stepping out into heat (as company ditched cups to prevent this). Look, it was tasty but:
Don't see myself keeping app or making this location regular stop. Wish the smoothie had...
Read moreThe smoothie was just fine, it was the attitude I was met with that ruined the experience. After our work out, a friend and I came in about an hour before close. I ordered a large smoothie with whey protein added. As everyone knows, whey protein basically makes smoothies bigger, so I typically end up with a little extra when itâs all said and done (I usually order a medium in a large cup so I can have the full smoothie I ordered). So when the associate behind the counter had a full HALF A BLENDER LEFT after filling the large cup, I lightheartedly asked if I could please get a small cup for the extra. She immediately snapped at me saying âyeah I canât do that since itâs based on the ounces you paid for, soâ and quickly whipped around to then dump the half a blender worth of smoothie down the drain. First of all, I DID pay for those ounces considering, without the whey, they would have gone in my cup. Secondly, how were your ingredient measurements so over that you ended up with a whole extra smoothie in the blender? Like dang, even if you canât give me the rest of the drink I ordered, thatâs a lot of wasted product down the drain. I know you have the blenders clean a whole hour early so Iâm a pain to you but I just want my protein, thatâs...
Read moreDue to not being able to order the Impossible sandwich without any cheese in the app, I called ahead to make sure I could get it for my preorder; despite my speaker glitching out and me speaking way too quietly at first, the woman I talked to was so sweet, kind, and patient! I wished I got her name so I could put it in the review, but I didn't -- it was around 12 on Saturday, though.
I wasn't a sausage person before I went vegan, yet I surprisingly loved the sandwich; it was wonderful with tabasco added to it as well. The bread was delicious and flavorful while the sausage was soft but firm; it wasn't squishy or spongy at all, which was a great contrast to a lot of other quick-serve Impossible sandwiches!
I got the Greens n' Ginger as well, and I feel like this location makes it the best. It has the perfect amount of ginger (I'm a ginger fiend) while not outweighing the fruity flavors of the mango and peach, or the subtle flavor of kale. Very yummy, and I highly recommend!
I've came here a lot before my night shifts as well, and all off the staff members are so friendly and cordial despite its busy-ness. This is definitely my Jamba Juice of choice; thanks so much for working...
