As an avid lover of Mediterranean cuisine, I would say that this is the Best Mediterranean restaurant in the Phoenix area. From the outside it is an unassuming location, but the food is gourmet level delicious . We have travelled to Turkey, Greece, and Egypt and love the food. The dishes of Yemen are similar to Mediterranean and Indian, but with their own Tasty flair. We had the chicken shawarma ($8.99) and chicken teakah ($10.99) entrees and both had huge portions , and were very very fresh and hot off the grill. We also had the spinach and cheese bread ($1.99) which came with a side salad of tomatoes cucumbers and lettuce and two dipping sauces and was very hot and cheesy and so yummy . The rice was fragrant and the meat was perfectly seasoned. I love the tomato salsa and the garlicky yogurt dips. I also love the fact that they have free hot Ceylon tea. The prices are excellent, especially based on the amount of food that you get. Other restaurants in town have much smaller portions and higher prices. The service was great and our our waitress, who may have also been the owner was very helpful and patient. I was sad that the bakery was sold out but I am very eager to come back again soon and check it out. I don't live close by, but I would make the half an hour drive again. I'm looking forward to the...
Read moreThe service was terrible, the food was terrible and they were out of half the ingredients on the menu. I ordered falafel and asked for my salad without onions, the waitress told me it didn't come with onions so I was good. She proceeds to bring me my fakafel and that's it no salad, no fork to eat them with. I ask for a fork and she acts like it's a weird question, I ask about my salad and she says "my boss told me it didn't come with one", perhaps she could have shared that with me when she dropped off my falafel that was at this point cold. I ask for a salad and she puts the order in, my husband was still waiting on his chicken shawarma while salad gate was transpiring, only to be served the toughest chicken he had ever attempted to eat. He ate his rice which he said was good. We told the waitress about the chicken she said "sorry, do you want a box?" No we don't want a box! So we paid our 23 dollars for subpar food and horrible service, what a waste of my evening and my 23 bucks! We will...
Read moreI agree with all previous reviews that say that Oasis has fresh and tasty food, and large portions of each item. It is a good place for the price.
I was slightly disappointed that I couldn't have any Spinach Pie as they had run out, but the nice waiter more than made up for it by giving me more Baklava than I...
