I mean this with all sincerity when I say the best quality item in this place is the toilet paper. Everything, and I do mean everything comes from a cheap quality jar or a can (think Hunt's). Nothing is authentic about this place which upset me because the building itself deceived me into believing that I was about to have some at least decent if not good Mexican food. At best anyone with a microwave could have made these dishes. And even though my server was nice she was a bit lazy. She allowed the dishes and glasses to continue to stack up on the table. She even placed the bill down on the table and still did not take any dish from the table. Then proceeded to go around to the other side of our booth and sit down to wrap up utensils even though there were several booths away from us where she could have done this. I did not complain but another server overheard me speaking about the situation and she informed me that unfortunately their best cooks were not on duty that night. Which is not good considering it was a weekend. I don't like to give bad reviews. I really don't. But when the results are even worse than the little average I was expecting I can't help but to not recommend such a place. As I stated earlier when I went to the bathroom I was quite impressed with the quality of the toilet paper. But if you'd rather save money and just heat up some burritos from 7-Eleven you'll come out...
Read moreI went with my sister and our kids. First impressions was great. We conventionally showed up before buisness picked up. The wait staff was very responsive. So responsive she came to our table every 5-10 mintues. Food was good overall. Except the hard torillas I got for my fajitas. Once we were finished we still had a lot to take home. Once we received the check is, where it went south. For their queso or guacamole dip it's $5.29. On the menu they had it was $4.29. Wow. Also my sister plate on the menu was $7.99 while mine was $8.99 on the menu. On the receipt somehow, my sister's plate became $9.24 and mine became $10.59. Also for two Sprites is $5.84!! Plus the two juices which was $2.87. Oh and both my kids meals were $5.89 each. I spent nearly $50 for 4 plates plus the guacamole dip for the chips. Oh and the 4 drinks. My only issue is they need to update their menus. Either that or actually charge the customer what is printed on the menu. You're sitting there thinking your spending less and boom get a big check. Not cool! I just paid the bill and left almost broke after that. Big mistake for choice of restaurant when you are on a budget. When you're trying to avoid fast food and enjoy good quality...
Read moreI was really looking forward to trying this place for the first time, especially since I love stuffed avocados. Unfortunately, the experience was a big letdown. The avocado in my meal was clearly old—you could even smell it. When I mentioned it, the staff did offer me another dish, which I appreciated. I chose a plate that had a little bit of everything, thinking it might be a safer bet. I ended up taking most of the meal home. An hour later, I tried eating it and found that the tamale was also bad—again, the smell gave it away. It was incredibly disappointing to have two different items in two different meals that were clearly not fresh. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak, and it was obvious that it wasn't homemade. Thinking store bought and fried. Overall, the quality of the food was poor and far from what we expected. Sadly, this will be our first and last visit. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements, especially with food freshness...
