While out shopping in Temple, we decided to try Panera Bread off 31st Street for lunch on Tuesday. Parking can be challenging at this location, but we were surprised to find that it wasn’t crowded inside, and the service was fast for food that is freshly prepared. We skipped the kiosk and went to the counter to order and were met with a friendly smile! Above average customer service, for sure!
Based on the recommendation of the woman taking our order, I got the Chicken Roma Asiago Bagel Stack. I really liked this sandwich! It wasn’t a large sandwich, but it was packed with flavor and very tasty. It came with a small bag of kettle chips. I will definitely get it again. My wife got the Cream of Chicken & Wild Rice Soup Bread bowl. The soup could have been hotter, but it was very good and the bread at Panera is always awesome. We just drank water, so the total lunch bill was less than $20. It wasn’t a ton of food, but it was sufficient, and the quality was really good.
Get away from the fried fast food and give Panera a try for lunch. You’ll get fresh food at a reasonable price, and at least at this location, fast and...
Read moreWas dropping my wife off for her night shift at her job and we decided to stop by this location before heading off to work. We ordered a pick 2 sandwich and soup and drink, with a $.99 pastry. I asked if I could use my available treat on my rewards card to get an additional free pastry, and the blonde white woman working the register rudely refused, and instead credited our offer towards the existing pastry that was already discounted. At a place where the price markups are very high already, this is essentially robbery. The blonde white woman was very rude to my wife, service was poor, and from the way the lady was acting, it was probably because of our minority status. Not all Panera locations are like this, in fact, none of the ones in the Dallas or Austin metroplexes are. It’s just this one, which shouldn’t be a surprise. I had tried to eat here before but the staff refused to take my order because it was close to their closing time and they didn’t want to serve us because the order might run into their closing time. Made my wife upset before her already stressful...
Read moreI have never been to Panera Bread company before. However I had 2 gift cards so we decidedly to try it. I placed my order on the APP, chose curbside pickup. Arrived at the store checked it. The app stated about a 10 minute wait to get our order. Ten minutes came and went, no response. Checked in again, and I was sent an immediate text message saying the order was delayed. Ok, fine waited a few more minutes another text message saying my order was ready. Ok, so we waited 10 more minutes passed nobody ever came out. Finally tired of waiting in the car, I went in the store and asked the clerks at the register. Where would I pickup my curbside order. The gentleman tells me "OH we will bring those out to you" so he goes to check. He heads to the curbside rapid pickup order area. Retrieved my order which had been sitting in a bag on a counter for who knows how long. I mean on the plus side the food itself was fine but the service was not what I...
