OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Wow!!!
I believe the girl's name is Jackie who helped me.
I placed an order online, and the delivery driver (Uber or Doordash) delivered my food to the wrong location... even though I gave explicit directions and even contacted the driver with no response.
I called CB, and the girl who answered transferred me to what I can assume is the take out line. Jackie answered. I explained the situation to her. She let me know that they use these 2 services to have the food delivered, and it wasn't anything they had control over. She apologized, and I figured this would be the end of it. That she would tell me to contact the delivery service to get a refund...as literally all other restaurants would do. Nope!!!
This girl was my hero!!! She gave actual customer service!!! She said, give me a little while, and I'll find out what happened and see what I can do.
Y'all!!! I have had the most difficult week, not getting much sleep, perimenopause symptoms combined with pms ending in a stomach virus that by this time I was recovering from but still very weak. The LAST thing I needed was for this situation to come up and have to deal with Uber or DD customer service... they are a nightmare. So, she was my saving grace, and I am so grateful that she did this and even more pleased that there are still people out here in the service industry who actually know what costumer service looks like!!!
She called me back not long after telling me that she found out what happened. Got them to refund the money after asking them if they could just have the driver come back and get the order to redeliver. She didn't want me to have to go through reordering everything...ššš...and basically had to fight for them to even find the order!!! (Not many people go to battle for me, so this is everything to me!!! I'm always the one who fights for everyone else!) I just had to replace the order. No problem!!!
I REALLY hope I got her name right, bc she deserves all the recognition!!!
Jackie, my hero, thank you so much!!! You have no idea what your act of kindness and fight did to help in my recovery. Thank you for being obedient to the calling of Jesus!!! I know He sent me to you bc He knew you would take care of His daughter!!!
YOU ARE A ROCK š !!!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came in with bus on 4/24/25 around 11am. The first problem I had was it took our table of 5 more than 35 minutes to get our food. The restaurant was moderately busy. We sat down at the same time with the rest of the members of our bus and we got our food dead last. There were other customers who sat down a while after us and they received their food before our table did! When we finally received our food, the bacon was cold hard and was nearly burnt, eggs was cold, I had eggs with american sliced cheddar laid on top of it. IT WAS COLD. The manager assisted the waitress in bringing out the food. When I saw this the cheese laying on top of my eggs, not melted at all, I asked her if she would eat it and she said, "Well it's gonna be like that, american cheese does not go on our grill". She asked would you like it heated? My thought process is, shouldn't that have been the first thought to do in the first place? So needless to say I didn't eat my food. The waitress tried to smooth things over, but the attitude, rolled eyes combined with the slightly elevated voice tone told me I REALLY wasn't welcomed! That was the energy we got the entire time. There were even other servers that were speaking in a louder forceful tone to other ppl that were on our bus! I don't want to think it was a race thing because our entire bus were African American ppl, but that's the way it felt. I have never felt so unliked in my life. I've worked in the food industry before and I know how stressful it is and what it takes to give great service. To add insult to injury the manager said she was taking money off the bill for everyone, but she didn't. At least for me she didn't. I know in many places black people are not welcomed or liked, but at least I would have like to be treated with respect and this was not it. Everyone is entitled to like and dislike whomever they please, but working in a public place where they may have to encounter a multitude of races, should check their personal feelings at the door. My server was Olivia and the MOD didn't give a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWE arrived at this CB around 6:45 PM. They were not too awfully busy. However our waitress didn't come to our table for around 10 minutes. I ordered the Catfish dinner because I have had it at the Plainfield, IN store. With the Dinner portion two sides come with it. I ordered French fries & Cole Slaw, and Corn Muffins. My husband ordered Fried Shrimp & chicken & dumplings, but the child's portion. With the Child's order, the drink is free. He ordered Sweet Tea and I asked for Sweet Tea as well. I guess since he didn't order an adult meal, he wasn't asked if he wanted biscuits or corn muffins. Once our order came, She brought 4 biscuits, NO Corn Muffin. We were hungry so we started eating. I didn't notice right away, but she did not bring the slaw. When she came back by, my husband told her that I had not gotten the Slaw that I had ordered. She proceeded to tell us that Slaw wasn't an option with my meal. AND I would've had to TELL her that I WANTED Slaw! I decided then that I was going to ask for the manager. However she came by and dropped off the serving of Slaw and just zipped right on by! No apology for not bringing it with my meal! Then as my husband was eating his food, his Shrimp wasn't completely cooked/fried. He decided to go ahead & eat a couple of them by putting them in the dish with the dumplings in it. YUCK My Catfish was fried waay to long. It was DARK brown, but it was still edible. It was fried far longer than it should've been. We don't normally go to this CB, but happened to be in town on business. If we ever come to Terre Haute again, I doubt we will go back to your CB. I think they need a Manager that will keep a better eye on the Servers and the people...
