Andy's Kitchen — Restaurant in Texas

I'm a little conflicted. It's clean. The inside is decorated very nicely and it isn't dusty. The girl working there was pleasant. Onion rings were good. Ranch was good, and not some bottled stuff. The burger... good flavor in the meat. Decent size for the price. I'm not offended by the prices. I got a burger that I"ve had many times, and it didn't taste the way I think it's meant to taste. I got a mushroom swiss, and it came on a sweet bread. I wasn't into that. I'm not sure if that's a new thing. I do not like sweet bread, so if they had another bread I would have definitely gone for it. I like toasted buns anyway, and this wasn't toasted. The mushrooms were kinda tangy and sweet. Not the usual garlic butter flavor you expect on a mushroom swiss. I wasn't into that. Everything was fresh though. Because the bun wasn't toasted the cheese and mushrooms kinda mushed into the bread, which I don't like. So basically they have the capability to make good burgers, but the way mine was made was not standard, and I was pretty disappointed walking away, because I'm on a diet, and might eat a burger 2x a year. I really don't like playing a game of chance when I do end up getting one. -toast the buns -sweet bread as a bun isn't my thing, offer alternatives please -mushrooms for a mushroom swiss shouldn't be sweet -the patty was a bit mushy, I should have said well done, but...

So I felt the absolute need to share my experience with this hole in the wall hot spot of perfection.

I ordered a wackie burger, the Nick, a fried chicken sandwich, and two kids meals. (Take-Out)

My wife’s sandwich was the chicken and she asked that it be plain. Upon getting home, I noticed that all the fixings were on it...aka she wasn’t touching it. I had called Andy’s and they said to come on back up they were going to remake it. Before leaving my house, my daughter came down and said “wow, that looks amazing” and asked if she could eat it!

I said of course! So driving to Andy’s, I thought you know what- I am going to pay for this one because my daughter ate it. So when I got to Andy’s, I had said I’d like to pay for this one as my daughter actually ate the one meant for my wife. Andy-the owner, holding the remade sandwich out for me to take said absolutely not! It’s on us! I said but it will keep me honest, his immediate reply- no it will keep me honest!?!?

By far one of the best burgers/service I have ever had! 100% will return, and highly recommend to anyone looking for a hometown burger! 30 mins later, the blue cheese and flavor of the burger still linger in my mouth...

Trust me!! You will love it!...

Rated best burger in Cypress and they will get zero argument from me. Hands down, the best burger I have ever eaten. Huge burgers cooked to perfection.

UPDATE: My family and I really wanted to like this place but today maybe the last time we step foot in Andy's. Wife placed an order online for 4 burgers and chips and queso. Automated message received after order said 15 mins to complete. Andy immediately called my wife and said it would be closer to 20-25 mins. 1 hour and 5 minutes later our food was ready!! They were offered ice water while they waited...really? Water? In fact, once the food was finally brought out, they had to wait even longer for someone to give them bags to carry the food home! If we had been eating in, we would have left!

Once she got the food home (5 mins away from Andy's) it was barely warm. The cheese was a coagulated solid. To make things worse the entire meal was nearly $100 and we were offered no comp, no coupons, no nothing for our trouble. Pretty crappy service overall and most likely, the nail in the...
