Unfortunately the experience I had this evening left me knowing I won't go back to this location. While I am always first to support local businesses, but those that provide great customer service. The young man making the snow cones was very preoccupied by 2 young women that came in due to paying more attention to those young women then making the snow cone in front of him he neglected to put enough flavor in the snow cone to have the flavor go to the bottom of the cup. Less then half way down I was presented with just ice. Because I took the time to check it before I started eating it I asked for them to get the woman that rang me up, as I assumed she was the owner. She came out and asked me what happened. I'm was happy to share with her the details but not in front of everyone, however she left me with little choice. I asked for a refund on my drink in which she seemed happy to do but no offer of let me take care of your refund and remake your snow cone on the house. When she expressed she refunded my entire purchase I asked for proof of a receipt in which she then pushed back for me to look at my bank statement. Well common sense tells you there is a delay in a refund going back into an account, typically up to 3 days. So I shared that with her and again asked for proof provided by a receipt. She then got on the phone with what I deem to be tech support in which she was unsuccessful in getting a receipt for me. I asked if she was in fact the owner and for her to provide me with her name and number in the event my money was not properly returned I could contact her. She did comply but where in the beginning she was eager and apologetic by this time she seemed annoyed. I have been to this location many times and dealt with her husband whom seems to have a better handle on the employees and customer service. While I could have lost my cool and made a scene I did not. But the lack of attention and customer resolution puts me in a position to write this bad review and drive 7 miles further up the road to the next bahama bucks. Moral of this incident, is take better care of your customer, retention...
Read moreI LOVE Bahama Bucks, but this place puts WAY too much syrup in the ice/snow. I'm all for plenty of syrup, but man it's way too much! I can't even eat it because it's like I'm just given syrup with a little shaved ice to make it cold. Because there is soooo much syrup in the ice, the snow was just a melted mess before I could get out of the door. I had to actually "drain" off the syrup before I could even get into my car to drive home around the corner. I still couldn't make it out of the parking lot, I had to roll down my window and scrape the top off just because it was so "liquidy" and runny off the edges of the cup. I have gotten flat top before, but there is still so much syrup that you can only eat a little because it's too sweet and sloppy. Also, when I asked for a taste sample, she gave me a little cup with basically syrup and pinch of snow. I've been to two other Bahama Bucks in Houston and they never put that much in the snow before. It's such a shame because I was so happy to see a Bahama Bucks open up close to me and I've even gone there like 5 or 6 times already but each time I go they put way too much and now I have no urge to go back. Also, I don't think they are that friendly compared to the other ones...
Read moreI am a frequent customer of the Bahama Bucks in Waco and we were in the neighborhood of cypress and wanted a snow cone. I can honestly say worse we have been too. I donât blame the high school girls working, I blame management. It was a busy Sunday And there was 4 girls in there all by themselves confused and panicked because of how busy it was. Granted there was only about 12 customers but for them Iâm sure it felt overwhelming. The shame is that their was no management in site, no adult present. Just young girls clueless as to how to run a business. They also have clearly not been properly trained how to make a snow cone. There was no packing down the snow no tropic crème or party sprinkles mid way through and entirely way too much syrup. I ordered my usual wedding cake with extra crème and party sprinkles. There was no extra crème and a dab of sprinkles. Not to mention because of the poor making of the snow cone itself the whole thing could have been drank with a straw. Pure slush. Such a shame this franchise owner has the privilege to own such an amazing company and run itâs reputation in the ground with poor...
