I rarely write reviews, but I just have to do it after what I experienced . This is the third time in 6 weeks I had a horrible experience getting drive thru/online ordering. The latest event happened Saturday September 6th. I placed an online order at 7:32pm. I arrived to Culver’s Fulshear at 7:51 pm. The email said the food would be ready around 7:50. They were very busy so I knew it might be a little bit of a wait. I parked my truck to the right of the drive thru in the “curdside” parking spot. I started noticing some of the employees walk outside with bags of food, look at all of the vehicles then go right back inside the store. The first couple times that happened I didn’t think much of it but as the minutes went by as I was waiting, I kept noticing this pattern. There was a lady in a SUV parked in front of me who got there before I did. After about 20 minutes of waiting, she walked out of her vehicle and tried to go talk to the young man at the drive-through window. Finally, someone talked to her, and she walked back to her vehicle. So now I’ve been waiting there about 30 minutes trying to get one of the employees attention. Most of them just ignored me. I had to raise my voice. One of the workers asked for my name and said he would check on my order. After about another 10 minutes, I asked him again where my food was at and it was literally like deer in headlights look. After waiting 50 minutes, I was finally able to speak with a manager and basically he told me this was his first day back as this particular location was in total disarray. Watching the employees walking out of the side door, looking at all of the vehicles and then running back inside I tended to agree with him. I finally got my meal at 9:06pm. Yes that’s correct. 9:06pm. I waited for 1 hr 15 minutes for some burgers/fries and Shakes for my family. I was told my food was given to another vehicle. Oh, and get this not one but TWO times I was brought out the wrong order to my truck. So finally got my dang meal ( oh and by this time my family already made other arrangements for dinner) And the burgers and fry’s were mushy and room temperature. I paid $60 bucks Saturday night. Most of the food was put in the trash can. One of the few times I feel extremely justified to ask for a full refund! So if you took the time to read all Of this, you might wanna wait a little while to go back to Culver’s so they can get their stinking act together. It’s sad too because under normal conditions they have pretty good food. My first time I had to wait about an extra 20 minutes. The second time I went, which is about two weeks ago I waited a little over 30 minutes. And then Saturday took me over the top. It’s gonna be quite a while before they will get any more of my money. $60 bucks in...
Read moreHad a weird experience. My sister and I walked in, used the restroom then came out and waited in line. While waiting, a man and a woman cut in front of us and they were helped first, I was like…ok? It’s fine, i did turn around for like a second to see if i wanted to eat in or take it to go while my sister looked at the menu. They order, so we move right up to the counter, then a lady and two girls walk up to a second register and one of the workers went and helped her first after we had both waited a couple mins bc it was a bit busy. (also keep in mind for that worker to help that lady, she had to walk PAST us to use the register she was waiting at.) After waiting another few mins, another worker asks a group if they’ve been helped, which they had, then she asks us and also asks for a moment, she was polite, I’ll give her that, everyone was mostly nice. Finally after waiting another few mins, it’s our turn and they lose power/connection on the registers. Took another 5-7 mins. We had no problem with the connection issue, none at all, I completely understand losing power, it’s happened where I work, I even understand it being busy and the workers being all over the place, but I feel there was discrimination there, we were the only brown people in the entire restaurant (we’re Hispanic and South Asian) customers included, except one worker, but funnily enough she was the rudest, bc when the connection came back to the registers, she just walked up and stared at us, didn’t say a thing, I had to ask her if it was ready. She was also the one to skip over us. Now trust me i understand these workers, i am a service worker myself, and i absolutely hate it, customers suck. But it takes a lot for me to feel upset because im so non confrontational. I hate being a problem for the workers, which is why i didn’t say anything, but i was visibly annoyed and frustrated so my sister was doing most of the talking anyway. It’s all just felt very weird and rude. I don’t want the workers to think I was upset with the connection issue or how long it took. I was upset because we were ignored, skipped over, by the workers by and by other customers, whatever you want to call it, multiple times. And I had just driven 5 hours, we had another hour left, we were hungry and we skipped other food options bc we were craving Culver’s, just to deal with all that. Could have been an off day for them 🤷🏽♀️ ...
Read moreLet me preface by saying, we are Culver's lovers from years ago back in Il. Then moving out here and eating at the (now defunct) location in the Woodlands, so I've had many of the menu items before at other locations as well as sampling their customer service. This location has issues with the cashiers not putting thru the orders correctly(although this time the guy at the register said he usually works in the kitchen). Yesterday I just went in to get pints of the flavor of the day and to retry the "pumpkin salted carmel mixer" which we'd had a few weeks ago(one of my very favorite fall desserts). Everything at my last visit was just all mixed in which led to a melty mess and I was told by the person who brought the food "This is the way we make them" when commenting on how I had them in other locations and they looked like the promo pic with the pumpkin mixed in and the warm caramel on top.(I don't know why it'd be a good idea to mix warm ingredients in like the syrups anyway?) SO, decided to try ONE more time to see if I could receive the special the way I'd had it in the past.. So this time, I clarified-one salted caramel concrete mixer-caramel on top, NOT mixed in (like the pic..and I pointed to the menu board) and 3 pints of the flavor of the day(chocolate cake?again-pointed to the sign) since there were none in the freezer case up front. What I received was..the caramel AND pumpkin plopped on top of vanilla custard, and 3 pints of vanilla turtle something.Had my son not worked there previously I would have chalked it up to "oh well" and just left, but he convinced me to go back to the counter and tell them my concerns. They remade the mixer which ended up mostly correct but had to start over on the 3 pints which took a lot of discussion back and forth with the cashier and someone else. This whole process took way longer than I'd anticipated just going in for pints and a mixer when the place was not really that busy. I SO want to love Culver's like I did before but maybe the growing pains will eventually go away and service will get better? The custard is...
