Parkway Fellowship — Attraction in Katy

In 2012, I made a point of visiting as many churches as possible in the Katy/Fulshear area, often visiting two per Sunday. I knew right away that Parkway Fellowship was the one for me and have been worshipping there ever since! Everyone was so friendly and the diversity across all skin colors and ages was immediately noticeable. The worship music is also outstanding. Most importantly, each Sunday's message is very relevant and meaningful, delivered in a way that is easy to understand. The pastors have a gift for explaining scripture that I historically just read through without noticing. Everyone is encouraged to join a small group and I really love mine. I love to watch baptisms and the number of baptisms happening throughout the year is evidence to me that God is truly using Parkway Fellowship to transform lives and expand His kingdom. I've been attending only a few weeks now but I already love it. from the moment I walked in I felt at home and so welcomed. I do not have church clothes so I wear Jean's and t shirt and was happily surprised to see everyone dressed casually, not bummy, but casual, made me feel that much more at home. I'm a firm believer in the message of grace and sadly too many churches seem to forget that, scaring people into believing if they sin they go to hell. One message was about works accompanying your faith or it is useless and I listened waiting for the pastor to do what so many others do, lead us to believe we can lose our salvation but a few moments later pastor Gary explained very clearly that while we wont be living up to our calling we are still saved and I very much appreciate that. We have been attending Parkway Fellowship since we moved to Katy over 10 years ago. We tried several other churches but when we found Parkway we knew we were home! Pastor Mike, and the associate pastors, always have a timely message and they teach from the Word of God! The kids ministry is amazing! From babies to youth, and even young adults, there is something for all ages! The hospitality team does such a great job of making you feel welcome and the donuts and coffee is always a favorite for the kids especially when we’re running behind and they didn’t get a chance for breakfast! We love the praise and worship team and we love that the mission of our church is to reach the lost at any cost and grow them to maturity!
