I went with a couple of friends and got some of the worst service Iāve ever had at a restaurant. When we came in, we went to the register to order, not seeing that there are also tablet kiosks where you can place an order. The employee on bar was making drinks and although she looked up at us multiple times, she didnāt say a word to us during our entire time at Feng Cha. Not to greet us, smile at us, or helpfully direct us toward the kiosks. She just kept making the drink she had in front of her. When another employee came out to help on bar, she also didnāt acknowledge us or greet us. We stood there a while and couldāve used some help but received none. When we saw another customer go toward the kiosks, we placed our orders and waited for our orders in Feng Chaās empty silence. After we finally got our drinks, mine didnāt even have sugar in it. My friends enjoyed their drinks and said they were good.
I had heard that Feng Cha is delicious and had great service. I wish that had been the case during my visit. Iāll believe in good faith theyāve got some good drinks, but Iām not convinced that I canāt get better bobaā and better customer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been here at least 20 times. Why go back if I only give it 2 stars? Because there are no other Boba Shops in this area. Why 2 stars? They water down EVerYThinG! There's no flavor in any of the drinks. Maybe the first couple of sips. But if you order something with milk for instance, it's mostly milk. So you're basically paying $7 for a glass of milk.
I think it has good reviews because they have not had great Boba before? Or maybe it's counting reviews from other Feng Cha locations? Because I've taken at least 5 different people here and they were all disappointed with their drinks and said they had no flavor. We are used to quality drinks in Bellaire for instance. Why not 1 star then? The thing this place does have is consistently good tapioca pearls. Every time they are fresh and never undercooked.
What to get: If you have to get one thing I would say the milk tea is probably the least watered down thing. But as you can see in my photo here they didn't even fill it up to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNormally, I love Feng Cha. But yesterday, I had the Oreo cake and Vietnamese coffee, and for some reason, it gave me terrible food poisoning. My cake was extremely salty, which I assumed was usual given that certain cheese foams have a saltier flavor than others; it was my first time purchasing it. I'm not sure if my cake was left out near cleaning supplies or left outside the fridge to spoil, but I vomited blood last night and am continuing to feel horrible. We have closely monitored my condition and are confident that I will be well. I'm just going to say to keep an eye out for what you do with your pastries. Especially with young teenagers working there. The presentation of everything was phenomenal as any other Feng Cha location. I would just rather not feel like...
