Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Texas

Being an employee hear has been very saddening. Most people that work at this Freddy's location in Pharr, Tx feel the same way. Management does not care about their employees they only worry about meeting labor rates so that they can receive thier bonuses. I have been scheduled multiple times right before the rush hours of 5:30-8:30pm and as soon as the rush is over I am sent home with only a 2 or 3 hour shift. When confronting the manager about this he said I need to "quit running my mouth" and that it is just "buisness". That is not the way buisness should be run and I will not be silenced. At times I show up for my shift at 6pm as scheduled and am told to wait until 7pm to clock. They then force me to take a break after being clocked in for just an hour. I don't understand the thinking of these individuals and how they think they can keep getting away with this, but as a full time college student I show up to Freddy's to work not to waste my time as I have papers to write and tests to study for. Freddy's ended up being the best 2nd choice I've ever made.... Initially we decided to try out Texadelphia for a quick lunch with my son. When we got there the guy behind the counter had a serious additude and kept cutting me off while we were trying to place our order. After seeing the price I assumed it was for the meal since it was so high...it was NOT so we declined the price and noticed Freddy's as we were walking to the car. We drove across the street and walked in... Freddy's was not only nice, clean and spacious but the young lady behind the counter making ice cream sandwiches turned around and immediately gave us her attention. We ordered and paid (almost half) of what Texadelphia charges and waited till our food was ready. Very quickly after ordering our food came out nice and hot and as advertised. The burger buns was fresh and soft and best of all... Slightly toasted off the grill. We were also greeted by the manager who walked the floor as if she was working at a high-end restaurant. Safe to say, when it's cheat meal time we're going back to Freddy's. Gotta add this to my small but ever changing list of places that respect your $......

Terrible experience with their customer service. We dined in with a large party (16-17 people). Food was great and fast getting out the food. However upon leaving, someone in our party asked the young lady at the front counter if they could possibly lower the AC since it has been pretty cold inside. Her response was , “ there is always the drive-thru”. Same young lady walked over to our table later as someone was still eating within our party, and was moving tables back and placing items on the table we were using still. At first I gave this person the benefit of a doubt however after watching her awhile, it seemed as she knew what she was doing. We did mention this to a what we believe was a manager and as soon as we left she walked over to him (knowing it was about her). Hopefully this situation gets cleared up as they obviously need more training in customer service and how to interact with guests. Will not be going back for awhile as the multiple families in our party will be staying away for...
