To bad there is a no star option. I have never had such a bad experience in a reastarant in all my life. Everything in this place was nasty. You could taste some food was cooked in the same oil sea food was.(my husband and I both are not sea food fans) we tried to give every thing that wasn't sea food and we kept on spitting everything into our napkins we kept putting plates at the edge full of food we didn't eat until I had some corn that was the last straw I went to the bathroom to rinse my mouth out.how do you mess up canned corn! It was that bad!!!!! We went up to the manager to complain and she proceeded to tell us about thier policy of everything being cooked in different pans....well that ,may be thier policy but let me tell u that's not what was happeneing. We asked for a refund and they proceeded to tell us that 20% was the best they could do that's $6!!!! The reason being that we consumed food! We didn't even consume six dollars worth of food. After I asked her to see cameras and see what we served ourselves and what we sent back she very reluctantly gave us our money back for one buffet we bought three. Not only was the costumer servic rude and condescending, the food so bad we made a scene and complained (my husband found a piece of steel whool in some food in their previous location and he didn't complain) the blinds on thier windows were really nasty and flies on thier window sill!!!! Never again I'm going to attempt to contact the owner but I know it will probably...
Read moreHorrible service before having a chance to eat. We were harassed by Summer who ran the cash register when we asked about being charged for gloves? She initially hid our receipt and only wanted us to see the signed customer copy. I thought that was shady all while I was reading their displayed notices of food sharing and zero tolerance of aggressive behavior? Was that their notice to treat their patrons that way? Completely inexcusable!!
She never disclosed the charge of gloves and I told her that was unethical and she told me that it's always been a charge. On top of hiding the receipt with those charges. I had to ask to see the full receipt. After we were taken to our table, my wife went to get food as I waited, and Summer targeted my wife soon as she was serving herself food, ran over to her demanding that she surrender her food. She was very animated in an angry tone telling my wife that she couldn't eat because we didn't pay for gloves.
Summer was completely rude and totally disrespectful. I asked to see the manager about this situation and said she was the manager. I asked to see the owner and was told by another coworker that the owner is in NJ or NY. He said that Summer wasn't even the manager.
This has been the worst display of customer service and from someone who claimed to be a manager of Grand China Buffett. Horrible experience. Would give zero stars...
Read moreWhen we walked in the girl in the front did not immediately greet us (we were the only ones that walked in at that time) she continued her conversation with her co-workers. We were greeted when her conversation was over, without a smile. Mind you, they have a sign up that says no cell phones at the register to give them all your attention, shouldn't the customer receive the same attention in return? We then walked up to the hostess who was actually sitting down at a table with other co-workers. She got up, without a smile, asked how many, I said 4 and she gave us 3 forks. When we were shown to our table I asked her if they had high chairs because we needed one, she said, "Yes." I thought she was going to get it for us since that's what most restaurants do, she didn't, she went to go back and sit with her co-workers. I saw an empty table with a high chair I asked a gentleman working there if I could take it, he offered to take it to my table. That gentleman was great, he smiled, he was friendly even when my son was misbehaving and I was embarrassed. He always made sure our table was clean. This mans name is Oscar and he was the only good aspect of our first and last experience at Grand China. They need new employees...
