[Update every time i try to give this place a chance it gets worse and worse they don't care. No one ever responds or answers the email just the same automatic robotic response should be negative 100..i never have the problem at dave and busters bmy child and i get along great with staff there..but main event.. please do better!Changed from 2 star to 1 because they clearly didn't read it nor do they care, just an automatic response to use a link to contact, which i clearly state I've already done]So I try not to complain too much and I definitely didn't want to leave negative review or anything. But I had a not so good experience with my child. My child and I moved to the area about 6 months ago and as often as I can.I take himto main event. My child is sixteen but severely cognitively disabled with a host of medical issues including a few related to the restroom, This means that he always has to have me accompany him.So we always have to use the family.Or disabled bathrooms that are private. Upon walking in there was feces So we immediately walked out and asked an employee, A young lady. If she could please find someone to clean it. Even stating, at the moment that I you know, didn't want to be that kind of customer, but it's very unsanitary and can she please clean it she left and came back a few minutes later, took a broom and quickly swept it and then walked out and said it was fine. I then stopped her and asked her if she had cleaning supplies and a toilet brush that I would do it myself. But the toilet was still not usable. She She then said that she would go and find someone but she started helping other customers at the desk. Mind you this entire time. My child needs to use the restroom. So I walked up and asked about 4 employees that were standing there. Watching us if somebody could please call a manager. I don't remember the manager's name, but he was probably my age somewhere between 35 and 40. He then walked up and I attempted to explain the situation. He said, let me take a look. He walked in and about 2 minutes later walked back out. He never brought any cleaning supplies with him. He definitely didn't bring a toilet brush. I'm guessing he used some paper towels which you know that is what it is, but aside from a very. Oh, sorry about that type of response. It seemed more like I had gotten on everybody's nerves simply for wanting to keep my severely disabled child safe in the bathroom that was not clean. I understand that the initial condition of the bathroom was not an employee's fault however how the entire situation was handled was. I hope yall understand why I'm a bit upset. Please note I have already submitted a request and was ignored. I let a lot go because I try to be understanding but...
Read moreIt's unfortunate that I had to leave a 1 star review for Main Event to contact me so soon. On January 3, 2019 I visited this location to enjoy a drink and sports game right before closing. As I was about to finish my beer I noticed something clear at the bottom of the glass and assumed that it was ice that had been created due to the temperature of the beer. As I'm drinking my last gulp, I went ahead and decided that I would drink the "ice" as well, which I then quickly realized was broken glass and not ice. I only noticed that it was glass due to the sharp edges almost cutting my tongue, which thankfully did not cut enough for me to start bleeding but I did feel a sharp edge rub against it.
I discretely asked for a manager and showed him what was at the bottom of my mug. I then asked how this could of happened and questioned the quality control and quality assurance their employees are performing prior to pouring a beverage into a glass. He explained and commented that this was a "honest mistake". How someone can miss that size of glass at the bottom of a mug, which they are pouring a beverage into, is beyond me.
The manager did take my information down and assured me that he would be filing an incident report that same day. I have called twice, since the incident, to follow up on and asked when I should be expecting a call from the General Manager or corporate to discuss the incident. Both times a manager has stated that they are unaware of when someone would be calling but assured me that it should be soon. It has been almost two weeks and I have yet to receive a call for any type of follow up.
I hope this review is able to shed some light for the next customer who decides to order a beverage in a glass mug. Since that incident I now have to think twice about ordering a drink that will be served in glass. Once again I'm sorry for having to post this review but I feel that the next customer should be aware and take a second look at the bottom of their glass before drinking.
I'm hoping Main Event, being the establishment I assume they are, reaches out to me in the same timely manner as the did to comment on my 1...
Read moreThe place is nice but I was not very satisfied. Very pricey to begin with, food is decently priced but the games are ridiculous. Took my kids, bought the older one a wrist band to enter the laser tag and gravity activity (unlimited) for $19.99 plus tax. We waited in line a good couple of minutes at the gravity activity, my son got to the top just to be escorted back down due to some maintenance issue. Decided to go spend money on the games in the arcade in the meanwhile they resolved the issue, 2 hours later it was still not working. My son did the laser tag, and the issue still wasn’t resolved. Decided to go to the front desk and ask for a refund for the difference or a credit since my son only did the laser tag ONCE and we were ready to leave. I was helped by a young guy named Rapha, whom said because it was already 2 hours since I purchased the bracelet he wouldn’t be able to give me a refund for the difference of the bracelet, said it would’ve been a different situation if it was 30 minutes since purchasing it. I explained to him we decided to spend more money at this place and play the games in the arcade while they resolved the issue in hopes it would get fixed and my son could do the activity. In fact we came to Main Event because my son wanted to do this activity. After awhile Rapha said he could give us partial credit (not the complete difference) of the cost of the wrist band and add it to the game card. I agreed but left very dissatisfied at the end of our visit. Just pay the one time fee to enter either activity once, it’ll still cost you less than the bracelet does. Spent a lot of money here to leave...
