Local Table — Restaurant in Katy

Local table is a great place for new age American cuisine. The menu is extensive and has a little bit of everything. The atmosphere of the restaurant is well put together but still casual, making it appropriate for a variety of events. The staff are all very kind and well versed in the menu, they are knowledgeable on everything from dietary restrictions to substitutions. In terms of food, you can’t really go wrong with anything on the menu.

The Spinach and Artichoke Dip is very creamy and not overly cheesy. The pico de gallo it comes with is incredibly fresh, but the chips are a little dense and not as crispy as I would like.

The Prosciutto and Caramelized Pineapple Pizza was amazing. Tons of salty prosciutto and sweet pineapple to balance each other out. If I ordered it again, I might order it with marinara sauce instead of the pesto it comes with.

The Local Farmer’s Market Salad is probably the best vegetarian option. Very fresh and it comes with the most decadent pieces of fried cheese.

The Penne Rustica is plain classic. A very traditional and tasty tomato pasta.

The Lemon Pasta is another simple pleasure. Spaghetti in a lemon and caper sauce, bright and not heavy at all.

The Chicken Salad Croissant was probably the miss of the night. It was tasty, but lacking the filling. The croissant was very soft but both the orzo pasta salad and the homemade chips were lacking flavor.

The Bread Pudding is the MUST get item here. Perfect every time and filled with soft bread, sweet golden raisins, and decadent ice cream.

Both the Lemonade and Strawberry Lemonade were great. Very strong and fresh, it’s evident they are not just using a concentrate.

Overall, I highly recommend this place for any event, the food, atmosphere, and staff make it an incredible place to visit. I will certainly come back here...

From start to finish, my 70th Rose Gold Jubilee party at Local Table Cinco Ranch was nothing short of exceptional. The atmosphere was upscale yet cozy, with a modern vibe that made everyone feel instantly welcome and relaxed. The private room was beautifully arranged—stylish, spacious, and just the right mix of intimate and lively. Perfect lighting, great acoustics, and easy access to the main dining area while still feeling exclusive.

The staff deserves a standing ovation. From the initial booking to the final toast, they were organized, friendly, and incredibly attentive. Our server anticipated every need with professionalism and a smile, while Rae, the event coordinator, made sure every detail—from seating arrangements to timing—was handled flawlessly.

The food was phenomenal. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The menu options catered perfectly to a variety of tastes and dietary needs, and guests are still raving about the appetizers and signature cocktails. The ginger salmon and lemon pasta were crowd favs, while the handcrafted drinks kept the energy flowing all night.

FULL DISCLOSURE: Rating is based on 1st impression of walking in door, having to wait while watching them have a meeting with backs turned at a back wall area. This location needs to ensure staff is at their front post upon people walking in to be seated. Meetings should be held before customers are walking in. Then if customer makes a comment that is warranted, the hostess should not say things to have all staff members look at us. We left after several staff members came from behind the wall to "look" at us for no reason. Who would feel comfortable after all the looks we received to eat there? I would not trust my drinks or food after that. Customers should feel welcomed and comfortable upon walking in to your establishment. To management: place some kind of sign to let customers know "wait to be seated or someone will be with you shortly" if management is having a meeting. Your whole staff needs to learn better customer service!
