Mario's Taco & Burger House — Restaurant in Texas

I've been to this place a few times before when I used to live in this area, and it's been a few years since I've been back, but I went there this morning and as usual, the food is on point.

Burgers are made with real Angus beef and you can really taste the difference between the quality of the meat here and some of the other places you go to to get burgers.

The owner and his wife are there just about every time I have gone there and they're such nice people. I went to the bank to get change for my shop this morning and decided to stop there since it was right next door and my boss started calling me wondering where I was so 4 minutes after I placed my order I asked the owner about how long he thinks it would take because I'm in a hurry, and he told him to give him another few minutes, and sure enough within waiting only 6 or 7 minutes in total, he was already handing me my food and sending me on my way.

Was looking for a place to grab a quick and inexpensive lunch(no fast food) and stumbled upon Mario's. This a small quiet family run place. It serves everything from Angus burgers to tacos, tortas and burritos. I ordered 4 tacos ,including Veracruz fish taco, fajita, al pastor, and barbacoa.(all of the classics) Veracruz tacos was crispy and moist with such a delicious flavor, fajita tacos came plain but you have access to the salsa and condiment bar that allows you to create your tacos just how you love then. Al pastor was also delicious. I got the last of the barbacoa so my taco was a little greasy but aside from that, this place delivers with the tacos. I was only able to take pics of the first 2 tacos because once the flavors kicked in my mouth didnt want to stop. We also tried the Mexican cheeseburger. It had all fresh ingredients and the Angus beef quenches your craving for a great burger. The prices are a plus. If you want a burger meal come here instead of a fast food place. I went to Mario’s Taco & Burger bar on 10/25/2020 because this was the only taco place serving breakfast tacos all day and they were open on Sunday. I read the reviews, and I was excited to try them, however I can’t believe they have such great reviews as their breakfast tacos were EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING. I ordered 2 potato tacos and 1 chorizo taco. The flour tortillas tasted old and so did all other ingredients used (eggs, potatoes, chorizo) to make the breakfast tacos. Not to mention the owner or manager was rude. We asked him how many tacos were on the breakfast taco meal. Awaiting for him to respond we were able to see the very small print that read “one taco”. He then responded saying “See you can answer your own questions because it’s right there.” which was extremely aggressive and unpleasant. The print was tiny on the menu and yes it was right there, but that comment was not necessary. Especially with the breakfast tacos being so nasty. Also, the salsa was mediocre.
