Have been coming here for a couple years and until the last month I have received a quality product from engaged employees in a good time frame (5-15 min).
My last visits over the last month have been markedly different, for the worse. Here’s why...
PRODUCT: When you walk in there is no inventory on the shelves. This is odd to see on multiple visits over the span of a month as all snacks, protein, everything is missing. We generally grab a bar, chips ect. to go with our smoothies...you just can’t now. It’s like they just moved in or are going out of business.
STAFFING: On each of my visits (Saturday’s around lunch) they’ve had only ONE employee working. They’re doing everything...taking orders, making smoothies, cashing people out while 10+ frustrated customers stare them down either waiting to order or receive their smoothies. Each time the one employee working has been visibly frustrated and red faced because they are drowning in orders and catching heat from customers due to understaffing by ownership. Prior to the last month, there were always two to three staff working depending on time of day. I told the person working on my last visit that I was sorry they were put in this situation, hoped customers were being patient, and tipped them a $20. They punched the register and said “yeah, guess the owner is trying to save some money”
TIMING: In each of my last visits I have not been able to place my order and receive it in under 30 min. The last time it took 45+ min and people were walking out. Today, (Saturday Feb. 2nd, 2019) I walked in and there were 4 people in line to order and 8-10 waiting for their smoothies. The young girl working was overwhelmed and flustered. I decided to not wait an hour on a smoothie but spend it writing this. Ideally, ownsership sees a multi-year customers feedback and and it effects change. If not, hopefully it informs potential customers of what their walking into...buyer beware.

Read moreI’m a loyal customer who visits Smoothie King almost daily, but I’ve chosen to stop going to this specific location due to ongoing issues with service, high employee turnover, and a noticeable decline in staff quality. I understand staffing can be difficult, but hiring underqualified or unmotivated individuals just to fill spots isn’t the solution—investing in better employees would go a long way.
Today was the final straw. A new employee was working alone and openly shared how much he hated his job. When I tried to place my usual order (which I’ve ordered countless times using the app), he told me they didn’t have it and dismissed my explanation with a "whatever."
More concerning was his hygiene. He was profusely sweating, his nose was running, and I watched him wipe his nose with his fingers—then proceed to make my drink without washing his hands or using gloves. That’s completely unacceptable. I immediately threw the drink away and will not return to this location again.

Ordered through the ap, went into the store and gave my name (Jennifer) to the employee working the register, he was very nonchalant about my order, said she didn’t see an order for Jennifer in the line but I could go stand at the end and wait…. I asked if he could check to be sure and he refused and told me to stand at the end. I placed the order 15 minutes prior to arriving…. After standing there an additional 5 minutes it finally occurred to the staff member to check the ap order…. He found my order and blamed me for giving him the name Jennifer instead of Jenn. I laughed, he got upset, I said Jenn and Jennifer are the same name. He again stated I was in the wrong for giving him the ‘wrong name’ I again told him they’re the same name, at this point he walked out of the store and held the door because he wanted me out of there and he proceeded to say ‘next time try being a little more polite’.
