The park itself looks nice. Wide trail for walking/jogging and the field quality is good. However, it's just not that great of a place to host events or leagues right now. The city will close the field and cancel your event pretty quickly. It's a good field, but not if you can only use it during a drought. We had been selecting TC as our home field for our Sunday league but as The Colony is always first to cancel if there was any moisture on the field (is commonly the only field that closed...fields a few miles away remain open).
Next season we won't be choosing this as our home field; moving to Carpenter or McKinnish. We've also had trouble where despite paying the rental fees for use of the fields on the weekends, they forget to send someone up to unlock the restrooms. It's a nice park. But we went there for a tournament and it looked like whomever was in charge of the grounds opted to watch the Cowboys lose, rather than more the grass. Soccer fields are supposed to be fast and uniform. They were uniform, yes, but uniformly s-l-o-w. It was at least 3" high, which is really bad. The teams were having problems passing because the passes would die to a stall before they reached the player. And most of the shots were to high because the ball was sitting too high.
Note to mgmt: before a tournament, do a Q/A check and make the needed adjustments.
Everything else...
