IHOP — Restaurant in The Colony

My son really wanted some pancakes, so we came here for Breakfast for Dinner around 5pm. After walking in, we were quickly greeted by Shawndel, who told us we could sit anywhere we wanted in a section. Shawndel was literally the only staff in the front of the restaurant. There was also only one couple dining at the time we were seated. Shawndel took our drink orders, and quickly came back with our drinks, around this time, an older couple walked in and he seated them. He came back and took our food order. My son ordered the Create Your Own pancakes, my daughter had the 2x2x2, and my fiancé and I both had a short stack of the original pancakes. While we waited for our food. Several other people entered the restaurant. The restaurant was clean and smelled great.

When our food arrived at the table, everything looked delicious. My daughters scrambled eggs looked good, and her bacon looked just like they did on the menu. My pancakes were fluffy and tasted great, they really hit the spot. My son really enjoyed decorating his pancake before he devoured it. We really had a great visit. The restaurant was getting busy, and Shawndel did a fantastic job being the hostess, server, table busser, and food delivery man all by himself. We were pretty impressed at how he was able to handle the whole restaurant with grace. He was very kind, and maintained his great customer service with every customer who came in. The cook also did a great job cooking our food, it was a great visit.

We will definitely return to...

worst service save your money and go to a different IHOP.!!!!september 14th 2018 my friend and I it's stoped by IHOP at the colony for some dinne Around10:20pm we got into the the restaurant. the was no one in front of the register to seat has so we waited patiently for 5 minutes. There was only two customers in the restaurant. So there shouldn't be no reason why we didn't get seated . After 8 minutes we finally got seated. I ordered a coffee, server decided to bring me a cold coffee. We didn't even get silverware's finally i had get up and look for her to ask her for some silverware. And to Please give me some hot coffee. We waited close to 20 minutes to get our food. when we finally got our food the was cold I ordered the eggs ,hash brown. My pancake didn't come with it . I had to wait about 10 minutes to get my pancakes. My friend ordered a salmon with mashed potato his food was cold. I will say this was the worst service I've ever had in my life. and also I could hear the cooks and the servers talk from the kitchen. Using unprofessional vocabulary at the restaurant. The server did not come by to check on us to make sure we have everything we needed. This will be my last time in this location. I would advise customers not togo to IHOP in The Colony to waste there money. The service and the food is not worth it. If you want to wait for a long time to get cold food then...

I very strongly dislike giving bad reviews...It makes my heart sad.

I feel this one is necessary though because it effected my livelihood...What I will also add is that ALL of the IHOPS Ive picked up deliveries from as a door dasher, favor runner, and even many moons ago an uber eats driver.....are all eerily similar experiences.....

I accepted the order not too far from the location so I went ahead and drove there before calling in to place my order. The girl who answered had me on almost a 20 minute hold....Im not exaggerating I can go screen shot my call log...then I when I went inside did not get greated for at least 5 minutes....I will say that the one waitress I did see looked to be busting her a$$...but a half an hour or so for a stack of pancakes and an omlette? I spent almost an hour on this delivery to make $4....

Please Please Please...Give delivery drivers a break and at least take the to go orders in a timely manner....

We depend on tips too...and people dont tip well when you take an hour and their food is coming from a chain restaurant 7 miles away....I cant afford to spend an hour and my gas for $4...
