The worst customer service I have seen in years.
This review has been slightly delayed because of my job and life in general, but it still needs to be posted. I will be reaching out to corporate and filing an official complaint against the management team at this location.
I visited this sonic on 8/13/21 after an extremely long and stressful day. My wife and I placed our order and waited patiently for our food to come out. We saw the order screen switch over and say that our food was coming out, and continued to wait. Our food finally came out almost 10 minutes after they said it was coming. When the carhop finally brought us our food, I politely asked why the push the button so long before our food is coming out, as I consistently have this issue at this location and one other. The guy explained that it was a practice put in place by they’re management team because they get “fined” (although I assume the manager just loses his bonus) by the company if they have too many late tickets. As he was explaining this the manager on duty was walking past, so I kindly asked if he had a minute to speak with me. I didn’t catch his name as he didn’t offer it to me and wasn’t wearing a name tag, but he was a middle aged Hispanic gentleman. When I explained my issue to him, his response was to immediately become defensive, saying that his employee was lying and that they were understaffed. He was dismissive of my input and refused to have a civil conversation.
If the management team at this location is so incompetent that they have to lie about ticket times so that their boss doesn’t lose his bonus, you need a new management team. If you are so understaffed that you have to lie about your ticket times, your manager needs to hire more car hops. And for Christ sake, take customer complaints seriously! If your customer is taking time to voice their opinion on your performance in a calm and civil manner, it’s in your best...
Read moreIf I could leave 0 stars, I would. This is the worst sonic I’ve been to. Time and time again this location would leave out parts of my order or would not make it with quality. I just left this location, and I ordered a a burger with an oreo blast to celebrate a championship win. After waiting over 20 minutes in the stall after placing the order they finally brought out my food and we pulled off. Right after we left I noticed in my blast was not mixed, and hardly had any topping. I got a cup full of plain ice cream with one small oreo chunk on top with a little bit of oreo dust… for a large blast. I ordered cookie dough and whipped cream to go along with it, and there was no whipped cream on it and there were about 7 cookie dough pieces…. again, for a large. Additionally, my cup was already about 3/4 full which was disappointing. Lastly, my burger was supposed to come with sautéed onions, mayonnaise, and garlic butter… none of which was found. This isn’t the first time this has happened but this time, I was not in a place to go back, so I called them. As soon as I began to state my order and issue, the man on the phone suddenly rudely hung up on me. I called back and spoke with the manager and the only thing he had to say is that whenever i come back, just ask for the manager and he’ll supposedly remake it. After that call I thought about the fact how I’ve been running into the same quality issue at this location and decided I did not want to come back, I just wanted a refund. So minutes after the last call I called back and they decided not to answer. After that, I gave up. I tried to doctor up my blast as I got home but it’s sad that I had to do that after purchasing it. Read moreI had a really disappointing experience here. I ordered through the app and was given mozzarella sticks instead of the pepperoni bites I paid for. When I pressed the button to let them know, the response was robotic and unapologetic — no acknowledgment that they had messed up.
When they brought out the correct item, I politely explained the mix-up and even mentioned I had already taken a bite from one of the mozzarella sticks. Instead of showing any empathy, the employee snatched the food out of my hand and, when I asked if I could just keep it, flatly said, “I’ll just throw it out” — and repeated it when I asked again. No apology. No customer care. Just attitude.
It’s not just bad service — it’s unsanitary to take back food that a customer has already touched or eaten from. The whole interaction made me feel like I was the one who did something wrong, when it was their mistake to begin with.
I won’t be returning to this location, and I’ll be contacting Sonic corporate. This kind of service reflects terribly...
