We were extremely disappointed in our last visit. We used to love this place, but due to the ongoing pandemic had limited going out to eat. It had been months since we last visited. The flavor is nothing like before and not to mention that the portions are significantly smaller. However, the prices did not change. The tacos now are about half the size of the tacos before, which are literally about half the size of a normal tortilla. The tacos are even smaller than the street tacos which are usually a bit smaller than normal. I ordered 6 tacos and they literally all fit in the palm of my hand. Each taco had about 2 tablespoons worth of meat in them and could be eaten in 2 small bites. The Costeña quesadilla is also about 1/3 smaller and contained about half the cheese as before, and because of this the cheese burned and tasted nothing like the amazing quesadillas they used to sell. All five people in my group were not only totally disappointed with the poor flavor and redicously small tacos, but we were surprised to have paid what they charged for those bite-sized tacos.
I'm sad to say that we will not be visiting this place again and recommend that others spend their hard earned cash elsewhere where you get what you pay for. This is low quality, poor taste, and small quantity that equals...
Read more( THE HONEST REVIEW ) From a food critic, An official taco professional here! Now the taco's we're okay, Not special, Lacking flavor, And it started with the onion which had a bad greasy taste? Like old onions that was sitting on the grill not good, The meat had quality but seriously lacked flavor, I ordered my fajita beef taco's with grilled onions & cheese and put salsa verde, Which should have been a solid taco, But it was disappointing and not hitting those Mexican flavors, The cheese wasnt even melted? Which is strange cause I ordered it con queso grilled, And the taco's wasn't really grilled, Just warned up on the grill I guess, Pastor wasn't to bad either, But same issue's as the beef, The peditos? Wasn't to bad either, But again no flavor had to use a ton of sauce and lime's to bring some life to the food at BEST a 2-5 or 4 out 10, This ain't the spot for an amazing taco experience, It's just okay, If you need the fix this might do it, This was a one & day for me fam, Don't need come back, I ordered 8 taco's and 2 pedita's costed me $23...
Read moreOverall this place was okay. Although they had different offerings of meat choices than other taco joints, the quality and taste is the usual mini street tacos you get st every block in Houston. The service was great though. I ordered a costeña with longaniza. Tried tripas, cochinito pibil, campechano, and bistec tacos. The costeña (charred queso flameado over sausage on a flour tortilla) was good. The tripas were good but had like gains of sand or something. It was odd. The cochinito pibil had good texture, it was spicy, and it overall was alright. The campehcano (bistec and longaniza) were not bad--a little dry. And the bistec was the usual you get at any other mini...
