This evening, a colleague and I decide to celebrate her promotion with some bubbly at The Colony Wine Bar. We discovered this venue after having dinner at one of the restaurants at Grandscape. The inside is boutique style, with limited seating, however it’s the perfect environment if you’re looking to enjoy quieter connection and conversation.
I’d describe the service as attentive. There was no effort to get to know us or ask if we’d visited before, however shortly after finishing our first round, the bartender quickly asked if we wanted another glass.
I’ve rated this venue three stars, primarily due to its prices. In my opinion, the prices do not align with the quality of product or service. I ordered the Sauvage Sparkling Wine, this bottle retails between $18-20, they charge $14 a glass. My colleague ordered the Berlucchi Sparkling Rose, a bottle of this sparkling wine averages at $40 and they charge $20 a glass.
Overall, the venue itself is perfect for more intimate conversation, the service is average but attentive, and the prices are too high for the area and the...
Read moreStumbled upon this winebar when wandering around the area. The man who served me was knowledgeable about the wines, which is always a plus. I enjoyed the rose I tried. Indoor seating appeared to be limited, but I believe there is a larger outdoor seating area that I didn't explore. The wine list wasn't extensive, but they did have a decent amount of variety. They also offer a range of price points, so it's approachable to many. The only thing I was told that seems to be a potential yellow flag is that they don't get new wine every often. My understanding is that they switch out their standard selections occasionally, but they don't really bring in something new to try/test with the customers. I always enjoy trying new wines, so if this is true (and I'm not mistaken), I'd eventually try everything they offer. On the flip side, some people like consistency and knowing their favorite wine will always be available, so to each their own. My rating is on my experience at this first visit, and not what may or may not be. Check it out if you...

The actual indoor space has a handful of bar seats and some arm chairs, and the outdoor patio is a nice setting too.
There is no food, but you can order and bring food from the other restaurants in the area. They have a special license that allows them to serve you alcohol that you can drink while walking around Grandscape — fun!
The bathroom is public to all Grandscape (not part of the wine bar’s property), in a nearby...
