The movie theater itself is nice. Our theater for Top Gun was very large. The picture quality and sound were both five star. However, the overall experience was not even decent.
It took 10-15 minutes to get basic concession stand food (popcorn, nachos and drinks). I show most businesses grace because many businesses are under staffed currently. However, we missed the first five or so minutes of our movie purely because the staff moved as slow as possible to take our basic order and fill our basic order. Not only was there no urgency in getting our order completed, but the two young men getting our items were making no effort to even move at normal speed. They seemed to be more concerned with finishing their conversation they were in the middle of when we walked up for service. I probably would have been more forgiving if the food actually tasted good. One of my kiddos goes to the movies specifically for popcorn and a blue raspberry slushy. She couldn’t even force herself to eat the popcorn. I can’t put my finger on it, but it just didn’t taste like real movie theater popcorn. Myself and my other daughter had nachos. Neither of us ate 1/4 of our nachos. The cheese was burn your mouth hot. Once it cooled down a little the cheese had an off/old taste. The drinks were good.
While I would give the theater five stars for size, picture quality and sound quality, I give the lounge chairs and tray tables two stars at best. The chairs made this awful sound any time you let them in or out. The tray tables are stiff and hard to move.
I love the Grandscape area, and really wanted to like/love this theater. I even passed three theaters closer to my home to give this theater a try. However, for the $100+ I spent on tickets and food; it just wasn’t an enjoyable experience. I am not...
Read moreI've been to this theater a handful of times but this last Saturday was a totally different experience. We arrived 30 minutes prior to our 10:30pm showtime and wanted to grab some popcorn prior to entering the theater. On a Saturday night, there were only 2 registers open with a large line of individuals also wanting to purchase from the concession. While waiting in line I noticed a total of 6 staff members in the same area attempting to complete "closing duties" such as restock napkins at closed registers and other tasks without assisting the large line of customers that had to wait 20-30 minutes for a drink and popcorn. Upon completing our order, the Coke slushie was handed to us exploding from the top due to it being massively overfilled and spilling down the sides and all over the top of the cup/lid. Ironically enough, the napkins didn't even get refilled at the open register and there weren't enough napkins to even clean the mess that was handed to us. While trying to make our way to the theater, the floors were covered with trampled popcorn all over the carpet floor as if they had not been swept since the beginning of the day. Unsurprisingly, the floor looked the same on the way out after the movie.
Half the self service kiosks were also broken and not functioning at the entrance of the theater.
For such a large theater in such a prime area, this was the worst customer experience I have encountered at a movie theater.
Suggestion: manage the staff use common sense and assist customers when there is a need. If you can't staff for a Saturday night, then don't show movies that late.
Atleast the seats are...
Read moreThis was my husband and I first time coming to watch a movie here at Grandscape Theater. I chose it because it is a nice area, had great reviews and just wanted to experience something nice and new with my husband before the busy Father’s Day weekend shenanigans. However the shenanigans started when we entered the concessions line— the place was very unorganized. No lines were formed, noone regulated anyone jumping in front of others. We ordered and they were supposed to bring food(hot dog and nachos w/ funnel cake sticks) to our seats— which was fine until it took so long —- my husband had to go check to see what was taking so long . When it finally came, the food (nachos) was incorrect…. Husband waited about 15-20mins to see if the other item that came with it(funnel cake sticks)would come out but they never brought them so nachos are wrong and cold, funnel cale sticks never came out— husband had to go out to concessions for the 4th time MISSING THE MOVIE WE PAID FOR— Only to get a refund on the nachos and funnel cake sticks. We also ordered a large refillable combo popcorn and soda— only ate about half the popcorn because the rest was crumbled so badly. I showed it to management and they offered a refill which would have been free anyway… but at this point we not wanting anything else. The experience was really bad for the first time. And it really ruined the night for me taking my husband out on a date . I do not wish to return to be “taking care of” any other day. It wouldve did good to just refund my whole...
