My wife and I did the "Escape AI" experience. The facility was clean and looked nice, but our experience was unsatisfactory. We've done lots of escape rooms, and this did not at all deliver on the "escape room" experience. i.e. It doesn't scratch that escape room itch. It feel very much like a mid 2000s point and click browser game, with some gimmicky time-wasting feeling movement games. The story also started with a "fire" as seemingly major story element, once the AI portion took over the "fire" was never resolved. I would never recommend this experience to anyone looking for a change of pace to escape rooms as it left me feeling like I had wasted my time with a failed gimmick. It Looked nice, and the interactive screens/walls mostly worked well (though at times it would misregister or not-register our touches). We escaped at 53 minutes, but a good portion of that felt repetitive or purposefully slowed down. Puzzles were simplistic, and the environment was limited in it's interactivity where it felt like I could have just sat on a chair with a mouse for most of it.
We have not tried any of their other experiences/rooms, but I could imagine that playing a more mindless or just purely active game might be more fun or feel like a better use of time for entertainment, but I would heartily recommend escape room aficionados or even newbies to skip this and just go to the nearby Escape Game.
Having never been to the facility, we checked in on their tablets and then just stood there after it told us "Room 3". The staff person continued working behind the desk on their work and we had to ask for help as we didn't know what to do. They then asked if it was our first time and then proceeded to explain things and show us to our room. I would have expected them to greet us and ask if we were new as we entered. Really minor thing, but it could be improved.
It's also supposed to generate a cute movement GIF/Video at the end, but that failed in our email, so we received no GIF/video, just a dead link. Prices were about $5 more in person than buying...
Read moreI visited on a weekend so it was busy (as expected) Immersive Gamebox in The Colony is honestly one of the most unique and entertaining group experiences I’ve had in a while. It’s way more than just a typical arcade or VR setup—once you're inside the game room, it really feels like you're part of the action. The walls are fully interactive with touch screens and motion sensors, and everything reacts to what you're doing in real time, which makes it feel super high-tech but still really easy to play.
I went with a group of friends and we tried the Squid Game experience. It was such a blast—we were shouting, laughing, and totally caught up in the challenges. The games are designed to make you work together, so there's a lot of teamwork involved, which just makes it more fun (and sometimes chaotic, in a good way). It’s the kind of experience where even if you're not into gaming, you’ll still have a great time.
The staff was also super friendly and walked us through everything before we started. They made sure we knew how it worked and were patient with all our questions. The whole place was clean, organized, and the vibe was really welcoming.
Whether you’re planning a fun night out with friends, a family activity, or even a work team-building thing, Immersive Gamebox is definitely worth trying. I’m already planning to go back and try one of the other games...
Read moreGREAT FOR KIDS, PRETTY FUN FOR EVERYBODY! AREIVE EARLY TO PARK AND WALK IN. we had a group of 2 adults and 3 kids ages 15-17! we did the floor is lava and psychedelic mansion. floor is lava is just physical, moving around to avoid the lava. it was pretty fun for a 30 min game. psychedelic mansion (one hour) has more puzzle like levels, with physical elements but more mental challenges, which we all enjoyed more. you get to pick which minigames you do in this one which was great because we preferred a few over the others. i would say this would be a 5 star experience for kids 7-16ish, when considering how expensive it is. for us it was worth the one time experience but we most likely wouldn’t do it again for 40 dollars a piece for 90 minutes. i could see bringing kids back over and over again for special occasions or just for fun. it was fun enough for us adults that it’s a great family activity. it’s also great for a rainy or scalding hot day. i did see a family doing the squid games experience in the front and it looked super fun, especially if you like the show. i would definitely recommend the ones we did but squid games looks like an awesome theme if you are thinking about it! the only con is the price, which even that isn’t completely unreasonable! and i will say it’s not super high tech, so if you do vr or things like it often don’t expect that level...
