The family that owns & runs this cool food cart couldn't be nicer. We stopped in on a whim for some BBQ, but were pleasantly surprised to find a Veteran's Day Parade about to start right in front of their spot. They were the only cart open and I believe we were their first customers of the day. We had the brisket chili with cornbread, a cowboy parfait, and some mimosas. The parade was happening, the proprietors were having a good time, and we felt like family watching everything with them. They were chatty and funny and an all around great family. Read moreWe live in salem and headed to the Dalles memorial day weekend. If you're looking for some DELICIOUS BBQ that is served quickly this IS your spot! They were even out of a couple of the more popular sides ITS THAT GOOD. It is pricey though. I think it was around $50 or $55 for just the two of us. 😬 WELL WORTH every penny in my opinion. Everything is so expensive now days, you may as well pay up for EXCELLENT food that keeps you satiated. We will be back to this inviting outdoor location again for sure! I hope they stay open...
Read moreLooked and smelled delightful (and plentiful), but just fell flat. The mac and cheese was heavy and kind of cold like it had been made the day before and quickly microwaved. The pulled pork had good texture but was missing richness/salt/seasoning/smoke/meatiness. The ribs were hot and very juicy. I didn't really like the applesauce on them, but that's not their fault.
I came around 5:00, but they look like they were sort of packing some things up and they were out of a lot of things so maybe I just caught them...
