Granada Theatre The Dalles, OR — Attraction in The Dalles

I love the new air conditioner they put in for summer heat around 100 degrees. It helped in the high heat days. I appreciated the handicapped bathroom so much when I was there. My walker & my husband helped me get to use the bathroom & there was plenty of room for us & my walker. The handicapped bathroom was on the main floor of the Granada Theatre. I couldn't go down small steep steps & I needed my walker to walk, which couldn't be used on the steps. The handicapped bathroom was less scary & less frightening & intimidating. I wasn't afraid to use the handicapped bathroom or fell I had to leave to go the bathroom somewhere else. But I stayed cool & comfortable with the air conditioner keeping the Theatre a very very comfortable temperature. I love the Chandler in the ceiling of the Theatre. I love the tables you can sit at & even bring Food to eat & cold water to drink or refilling your water bottles at the water cooler to stay well hydrated & cooler. If you get dizzy you can take a few paper towels to get them wet & put them on the back of your neck. You can even bring pillows to sit on in the chairs with no arms. So you can't get stuck if you are a large woman or man. You also can bring a blanket to cover over with if you may feel cold. You can save money by bringing your own fixings for sandwiches, snacks to eat, fresh fruit, & drinks. We had a...

Amazing. My family had the best time watching an old Hitchcock film over the summer. The Washington state promo beforehand was super interesting. My boyfriend and I didn’t know we were going to partake in a full on wine tasting with Chuck when we were deciding what to have. Their friends’ local wines were superb!! So glad we had dinner. Chuck’s turkey meatloaf is the best, and Deborah’s mac & cheese was sooooo good. My kids asked for seconds which she had offered. She even shared her recipe! What a treasure of a place that we will enjoy returning to any time we are in the area. It will be a big reason we make a trip...

Loved seeing A Case for Christ on the big screen! And they played Moonstruck recently which I’m sorry I missed. Many amazing oldies are screened here regularly as well as concerts. Beautifully remodeled theater, lovely experience, fair prices.

It is honestly amazing it is that this place is open and so lovingly operated; it’s a treasure right here in The Dalles!!
