Went here on a drive past the Dallas. The reviews looked solid and we just wanted to try something we hadn’t before.
The place looks nice from the outside and its nice inside as well. We ended up eating inside but the outside eating area looks nice.
The food. Let me say this the menu isn’t large by any means but the food all sounds nice. We ordered the standard burger, the BLTA Wrap.
The standard burger was just that. Nothing better than an average burger. No real flavor just status quo. The bun was nice however and according to the menu locally made.
The BLTA Wrap was a letdown not in the taste as that was actually decent but in the size for the price. It looked like I was missing a 1/3 of my wrap. The avocado inside was good, the bacon well cooked and the flavor was standard. I will say that substituting the fries for a house salad was a good choice as what was served was what I would call a full size salad. Oh and additionally the blue cheese was great.
What bothers me though is that if I didn’t get that side salad and just focused on the wrap its just smaller than you would expect.
Oh one last thing and I get it staffing issues and the world has changed but under our table a kind child left us half a serving of their Mac and cheese for us to step in. Lastly the staff was pleasant and while they were short staffed they were decently attentive. I never got a refill and had to ask for my check but now a days the bar is set a little lower sadly.
I would not visit here again but thats mainly because we don’t come through here too often and when we do we have other go to’s I just wanted to be adventurous and found that sometimes the highest reviews (higher ranking) places on Yelp doesn’t always equal a place...
Read moreGreat beers, fantastic food, and reasonable prices. The place is put together very well, and the music was absolutely awesome (90's alternative). The vibe here is definitely chill, and this place has phenomenal potential. Unfortunately, the service was problematic and borderline offensive.
Our waitress forgot one of our items, which truly wasn't a big deal, but it got worse. We were planning on staying for a while, as we're in town for the day and didn't have much to do. Not only were we not asked if we wanted more drinks after our first round, but our waitress just randomly dropped off the bill and sped off. When she came back to pick up the payment, I stopped her and asked for a couple more beers instead. A separate waitress then came and asked if we wanted a box for our food and said she'd give us a bill, which we still weren't ready for. Then our original waitress came back about 15 minutes later and gave us our final bill without asking if we wanted more beer. The place wasn't packed and this was three hours before closing time, so I have no idea why we were being rushed out. There were errors in our final bill, but since we felt like we were not wanted, we just let it be, paid, and left.
I've never been rushed out of a restaurant like this before. It was truly odd, and I wonder if we were either being singled out, or if they were trying to clear the table for a reservation. There were other patrons in our area who seemed to be getting normal service.
Everything else about this place was absolutely fantastic, we just wish we felt...
Read moreWe stopped here on day 9 of a road trip with two kids and a baby. We traveled from North Bend, Wa to Colorado Springs.. Going through Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah. This place was honestly the best food on our trip. We are avid beer lovers and tried multiple breweries and pubs along our way.
I had the bacon jalapeño Mac and cheese while my partner had the Cobb salad (big salad lover). My dish was better than I had imagined as most places miss the mark with Mac and cheese; I even made a to go order for the road. My partner said it was the best Cobb salad in his 40 years of experience eating salads - egg was fresh and the color was good, lettuce was fresh, good balance, the chicken was unbelievably good (seasoning was spot on), etc. - all ingredients were obviously fresh. Kids had the fish and chips (sweet potato fries - perfect) and they were also spot on.
Great beer options - decent range of types on tap from dark to light. I had a saison and my partner started with their house made Bloody Mary - complete with pickled asparagus and a green bean, olives and pearl onions. He wished it had more Worcestershire but it was still an 8.5 out of 10.
Service was good although the kitchen was slightly slower than expected but worth the wait. The inside atmosphere was comfortable for having three kids including a stroller.
Overall this place was excellent! We were so glad we stopped here and would go out of our...
