Not bad if you're looking for very basic pizza. Unfortunately, we had higher expectations. But I will give kudos for the basic quality of the ingredients. The pizzas are a fair price at about $16 (starting) for a 16 inch pizza plus add-ons for additional toppings. Seeing other reviews, I wanted to try a new pizza restaurant in the Woodlands and thought I would give Russo's a try. Since we were doing takeout we did not get the opportunity to eat in the restaurant but however it did look cozy but not very busy for a Friday night. We bought three pizzas to try to get a variety sampling which included: *A 16-in pepperoni pizza. *A 16-in Hawaiian with white/Alfredo sauce. *A 15-in plain cheese pizza. Each of the pizzas were a thin crust, light sauce and with real cheese. *However there was not a generous proportion of pepperoni, ham or pineapple. A little bit sparse and a little bit disappointing. The crust was good and probably the best part about the pizza, but noticed that each of the pizzas left a puddle of grease in the boxes. The staff was friendly and maintained a nice dining area. They were courteous and efficient. They were able to provide the pizzas in about 25 minutes from time of order. I give Russo's 4 stars only because it's not top shelf pizza. It's good pizza but it's not great pizza, unfortunately. With so many Pizza competitors within such close proximity, I believe Russo's needs to step...
Read moreDon't trust the rating on Google, this location gives free dessert for a 5 star review. We ate at the location around 8pm on a Friday, and there was only 2 other tables eating in. Still took several minutes to order drinks. The tea was old and had that funky taste to it, and we were not informed that the root beer came in a bottle. The garlic bread was so dense, it was like a cake consistency. The server was mostly absent, hanging out at the register on her phone. She did assist and apologize when we brought things to her attention, such as the tea and not having enough silverware for our table, but was in no way overaccomodating. Our New York Village pizza came to the table overloaded with toppings to the point where it made the crust soggy. When it came to the table, it was not hot at all. Pizzas we get delivered to our house from Dominoes have been hotter than the pizza that came to our table. At the end of our meal, the server told us if we would leave them a 5 star review, she would give us free cheesecake. We declined. She then proceeded to run our credit card, leave the card at the register and bring us just the slips to sign. I wouldn't say that this is the worst restaurant, just needs to focus on serving great food and taking care of customers the right way instead of bartering for positive reviews. We...
Read moreI was asked to leave Russo's tonight with my children because we brought in chicken nuggets for our 6 year old. I was told by a man who appeared to be the manager that they "don't allow outside food". Apparently they would rather turn away paying adult customers because they are offended that their children prefer McDonald's. Little did he know we still would have been purchasing enough food to include the child in our meal anyway so they were not loosing ANYTHING by allowing him to keep his nuggets. As most parents well know, sometimes the battle over where to eat dinner can be exhausting, I do not purchase separate meals to take often but sometimes it keeps the peace. I find this to be a ridiculous policy which says to me that they do not value the business of families. I was told by my teenage daughter that the man childishly mocked me behind my back as we walked out. This is no way to treat your customers (or would be customers). I have sent an email to the marketing email address found on their website, I have already received a reply that my complaint will be forwarded to management and they will be in touch. I am interested to hear...
