This is the first time I've been here, and the experience was pleasant. While I think the value is seriously lacking, the flavors are delicious! I don't eat pork, and it's hard to find a good place that sells beef bbq products. 79 Bbq's rendition of the delicacy is superb, comparatively. Unfortunately, on the day I ordered, the beef ribs and beef links were out of stock. I opted for the beef tips and turkey link. I was steered toward the combo because it was "cheaper." For about the same price as the items separately, you basically get a free link. The beef tips were fatty, but I prefer my beef fatty, so I didn't mind. It was more than fork tender and seasoned nicely. The turkey links were good, too. Juicy with that snap when you bite it! The sauce was a nice mixture of vinegar and sweet. Think Sweet Baby Ray's meets Open Pit. I opted for the mixed (hot and mild) sauce , so it was just the right amount of spicy for me. The picture is of the combo. It's not entirely accurate because we ate a lot of it, but for $37, I definitely expected more. That said, I would definitely go back. The vibe was comforting and seemed like it would be enjoyable to sit in. The staff was pleasant, and the "chef" even came out to verify the order since what I wanted was out of stock. The music was nice but a little too loud for me, which is a bit of a deterrent because it wasn't busy, so I can only imagine how loud it gets, but I would come back just to carry out if I couldn't tolerate the noise. Overall, it was expensive, but I'm willing to spend the money for the rich and balanced flavors offered for a rare treat.

OMG, this is truly a gem! I’m so glad they opened up here and are extremely delighted with every aspect of my experience there. The hot links are second to none, I had to ask my server was there somebody uncle in the back cooking with open toe shoes on thanks to the tips, he assured me that the cook had on boots🤣😂😂 but informed me somebody grandma was chained to the stove making that delicious mac and cheese!!! You absolutely have to come and check this place out!!!

The food is delicious. I have no complaints. The waitress was very attentive and friendly to my family this evening. I must warn you, the hot BBQ sauce is HOT, and we love spicy food. She tried to warn the kids lol. The macaroni, spaghetti, and greens were no good o couldn’t get enough. You really get the bang for your buck foo.

I never knew this place existed. I only went here because they started stepping on Sunday nights. The first time I ordered the pork rib tips. I wasn't impressed because it didn't have that smoke flavor. They most likely cooked it in the oven. I ordered the greens and Mac and cheese but they were out of that. That was disappointing. I ended up getting coleslaw and fries. I ordered a lemonade but was later told they were out of that. I ordered a Pepsi, they didn't have that. I ended up getting water. I saw on my bill that gratuity was added. I didn't care for that. I like to tip on my own. I tried the place again and it was worst than the first time. I ordered the 2pc catfish. Once again they didn't have any greens or Mac and cheese. No coleslaw, no green beans just yams. I was very disappointed. This is the second week in a row that you don't have any sides. I told the waitress (who really was the bartender) you all have got to do better. She agreed. When I got the fish, I've never seen catfish fried like that. It was very dark. The taste was bland. I couldn't finish the second piece. I also had fries and they added some type of seasoning to it. It didn't do the fries any justice. It had somewhat of a sweet taste to it. They could have left that off. They are short on help. No one came to get my plate when I was done. I had to take it to the bar. I stuck around for the dancing and socializing but the waitress never gave me a bill. I had to go up to the bar and pay. Overall the food sucks, and they are short staffed. I would not eat here again. I would only come...

Our first time trying this place so to support businesses in our own community. Pulled in and the place looked like it was closed. One car in the parking lot at the time. We get out and smell no BBQ in the air. Those were the two first warning signs. We go in and order off the lunch menus that came to $35.00. After waiting 15 minutes we were told that they had no potato salad which was one of our sides. We replaced it with yams and Mac & cheese. We asked for a togo menu but was told that they gave the last ones out a few minutes ago. That’s what they always say. After the 40 minute wait we stop to gets the sides we wanted from another restaurant. We get home to find the fries covered in BBQ sauce when she asked for sauce on the side. The Mac & cheese was bland and dry. Yams were stringy and the BBQ was tough. I liked the sauce but my wife didn’t. So no cars in parking lot; no smell of BBQ; didn’t have the sides we ordered at 2pm; no menu’s and tough rib tips. I told the gentleman that I would leave a review and he thanked me. What he didn’t know was that my reviews have been viewed over a million times. They’ve been open since November and already in the three star realm. My reviews are fair and honest. I hope the owner will agree that my post was spot on. I always say that if you have several people saying the same thing and these people don’t know each other, then you might want to pay attention or you’ll be out of business by...
