I have just encountered the WORST customer service that I have EVER had to deal with in my life! HAROLDS CHICKEN #54 in SOUTH HOLLAND will never see a penny of mine again. First my husband called an order in for me to pick up. They told him that I had to order his gizzards in person but they could make the chicken. I get there and they tell me they don't have gizzards or fish, only wings. Weird that they didn't tell him that, but ok. I order a 6 wing dinner, an 8 wing dinner, and an okra. I pay and wait. She calls my ticket and attempts to only give me the 6 wing. I told her that I wanted to wait for all of it to go in one bag. So she puts 6 wing to the side. When the rest of the order comes up, she grabs the 6 wing and puts it next to the rest. Then she goes to get a bag and bags the food up. I get alllll the way home (20-25 min) and I only have the 8 wing and okra. No 6 wing. It's 9:41 and they close at 10. I call, no answer. I keep calling....no answer. Then she TEXTS my husband and says, "you left your 6 wing here. So we get them on the phone finally and She's putting me at fault for her not putting the food in there because I should have taken it when it was first ready. So she tells me to come get it and she will be there until 10:30. I get halfway the and she calls back and say, "Just come tomorrow." So the manager tells me to come since I was halfway there. I get there and she is very apologetic and says that they are making me a new order (my request) and they'll give me the cold order. Then the cook (from the back) says, "They ain't getting that." I asked her what he said and she tells me, "IDK. I'm gonna go home." So when the fresh order is ready she asks the cook, "So I can't give them this order?" He says very nasty and loudly, HELLLLLLLL NAW!!!!" At this point it's not about the chicken. So I'm like, "I need to talk to him." I thought he was the manager. So she tells him and he said , "For what?!" He was soooooo rude and disrespectful! I will NEVER patronize that establishment again. Read moreNo food or a refund. Placed an order online January 2nd. Was given a 41 minute wait time for 10 wings and 1 breast. I arrived at the time given, only to be told that I needed to "wait another 25-30 minutes" by employee in store. I explained that I had already waited 40+ minutes, and that the food was meant for lunch with my baby on her work lunch break. I did not have time to wait. I asked for a simple refund. (Brace yourself!) "You need to call the store and speak to the manager." (Yesss I'm still in the store that I'm told to call 🙄 smh) I called the number without hesitation. The manager (owners son) lied to me about a call back after he spoke with his dad to ASK for my refund. More than an hour passed, no call, text, or email confirming my refund. Then they had the audacity to send a text from the restaurant saying my food was ready about 30 minutes after I asked for the refund. (very strange since I had already spoken with the manger about the situation) I then sent an email on the website. Was contacted within the hour by the owner. I had to explain the situation AGAIN. His son didn't tell him a thing obviously. During this call I was told by the owner that the charge would NOT be processed. More lies. It posted yesterday. I will be contacting my card company to report Harold's chicken as a fraudulent transaction. My advice is to spend money at establishments where the owners are not strapped for cash, refuse to give refunds, etc. Find businesses that have honest and fair practices. This would never happen in Orland Park or Tinley. Only to folks who look like them. Just know that I will drive to Chicago for Harolds before I ever eat at the South Holland location....
Read moreTerrible service. Placed a phone order and sent my husband to pick it up. He paid online. After arriving he was told that the payment was not showing up on the store's end. He showed them the receipt and repeatedly explained that he had already paid. They insisted that he pay again and if it showed them a second payment then he could come back for a refund....MAJOR INCONVENIENCE! The workers then started to make several phone calls in attempt to get assistance. Finally he just decided to pay again only for the system to say that the order was already paid for. After wasting 30 additional minutes they finally handed him the order. By the time I received the chicken it was extremely cold! Never again...You only have one time to show me that there's a lack of professionalism. Sad part is that this was my first time ordering from there.
1st mistake...when you inconvenience a customer you are suppose to accommodate them, not just say "sorry". OWN IT!
