Samphors gave us terrible service. At the beginning I had asked for one of the TV in front of me to be switched to the World Series game, as it was currently on a football game from 2024. After the TV not changing for about 20 min I kindly asked the server if she had gotten a chance to change the TV. She said âoh yeahâ and left for another 10 min, in which she brought us two TV remotes and said âhere you can change it, I donât understand it.â Never has a restaurant given me the power to change all the TVs, especially on a busy Saturday night, I hit the âguideâ button to find the channel and two TVs turned black right away. I gave the remotes back and explained that I donât know how to change it apparently. The game was finally put on later, and the sever made a point to tell me multiple times that she was overwhelmed by me asking for the TV to be changed more than once, even though she forgot.
The service was nonexistent so I had to go to the bar to order more drinks. While at the bar I heard the bartender blaming my table for two of the TVs being black to the manager. Iâm sorry I donât know how to work your multi-remote, multi- TV set up, itâs not my job nor am I being paid to know how it works. Later in the night my wife tried to order a michelada from the server, and instead of saying âIâm not sure what that is, can you explainâ or âIâm not sure if we can make that, let me go askâ she simply said âwe canât make that.â Even though Iâm positive you can as your website says you have the âBest Bloody Maryâ so I ignored the server and ordered from the bar again, which they made the drink easily. Teach Samphors to ask for help or ask for clarification next time instead of speaking on something she doesnât know about.
Lastly, everything could have been solved in the moment if the manager had stopped by our table. I know itâs her job to table touch and make sure everyone is okay, but she is simply being paid to stand at the bar or in the corner all night because thatâs all she was doing. I waited 45 minutes for the bill because the server disappeared and we were splitting it so I couldnât pay on the tablet at the table because it wasnât right, and I really truly mean 45 minutes in the most non-exaggerative way. The whole time the manager just stood there doing nothing, a true waste of money for the company she is. Drinks were good though, took care of the bartender because she actually helped. Canât expect much from an AppleBees but I expected a little more than that experience. Still baffled I was handed all of...

Broken Ice Machine happen. However failing to tell your guests when they make their drink selection is completely within your control. Leaving them waiting for ice for their ice tea until after the meal has made it to the table is again not effective service. Finally, leaving the drink on the tab when it was clear it was not consumed due to your ice issues, failing to provide enough ice to properly chill their drink once you do them "some" ice was also your choice. As was charging me for the drink not properly served. Ice tea, should be iced!
My server I hope was new, because she attempted to be attentive. She was not. She actually paid greater attention to me as I was wrapping up my meal than during it. To my annoyance I assure you. Being that I arrived before the dinner rush and was celebrating a promotion. You really managed to put a damper on what was supposed to be a special meal.
Why was the ice reserved for the bar? Both customers are being charged for their drinks. Being able to pivot when the unexpected happens makes a huge difference.
In this situation, it made the difference between my first experience with your location and celebrating a milestone in my career being spoiled and having a special occasion, staying special...I hope you will do better for your guests in the future!
You will notice that in the photo I was served only one glass of ice tea and how much remains. I had to pour it over the ice I was provided and it was dripping on the carpet so I stopped...the second glass is the one I was served without ice ...
Had I known there was no ice, I would have ordered water. Your server failed to give me this opportunity.
It was interesting to have my 'to go' meal sitting on my table during my entire meal... truly it's the little things that add up to either make or break service. Historically that comes out...
Read moreI witnessed and walked out on an event tonight involving the manager and guests. Its 4th of July, its busy, several parties walk in at the same time place is fairly full. I am seated at a table in the bar area and there is a family with several young children at a table also in the bar that I watched them request to be seated at.
It took quite awhile for the overbooked servers to get around and this parties' children were restless. Kids will be kids and all. But then one of them started SCREAMING a shrill scream over and over again. They didnt ask their kid to stop they didnt redirect their kid they let it crawl all over, run the show and keep screaming. Meanwhile a table right next to them got upset after several minutes of this, had words and complained. Both parties began to get straight up white trash vocal with each other and the parents ENCOURAGED the child, "louder honey, louder" honey boo boo style.
Low and behold the servers are semipanicking and the manager wanders out. At this point the parents corral their kid give it what it wants and it shuts up.
The manager strolls out and looks around and stands between the tables for a solid ten seconds and approaches the complaining table to basically tell them kids will be kids and sorry not sorry. Then proceeds to ask the COMPLAINING party to leave.
The manager took a cheap cop out rather than kick someone out of a restaurant over their unruly white trash kids.
I paid for my drink tipped my server and canceled my dinner, let that manager know exactly why in front of everyone and...
