Here's just a little history of what was there before that Mc Donald's.. for those who remember it was a Blockbuster Video.. We all knew what became of that legacy ( Blockbuster) and after sitting vacant for a while.. that part of the shopping center was even demolished to incorporate that Mc Donald's...furthermore, all of the residents in the surrounding neighborhood were invited to a "town meeting" so to speak- to voice positive and/or negative feelings about proposing to move forward with Mc Donald's opening there..my point is, that Mc Donald's was kinda a big deal to this neighborhood, a new building with a nationally known corp. with a reputation as a quality American fast food provider with advantages for company and neighborhood alike.... I ll share my experience last night .. I placed my order and was instructed to pull up to first window... met cashier at first window and as I tried to make small talk was met with silence... there was no one behind me.. no rush ... cool, we don't have to chit chat, I had a long day, I'll save my breathe... than after being instructed to proceed to 2 nd window I was handed my drink and told my fries were still 2 minutes away from being done... the window slammed shut. A little advice, cold fried would've pissed me off, but presenting the fact that you're ensuring me the best, but it's going to take a little longer and using a more compassionate voice tone due to time inconvience goes a long way...your NEVER doing the consumer a favor by making them wait - especially when it's a quality expectation . . so being indignant is NOT the way to go .... even if it takes extra effort and seems fake to you, as an employee!.. always show care and concern for consumer and their time and choice to choose your business and use nice tones with them while they wait.. after all it's all about company integrity.. and what is the integrity of the business you chose to work for? It is considered fast food ... by consumer and company .. it's important that employees are aware of what it is they are doing and what industry they are team members for .. I saw 3 employees after mid night at this location. They are staffed for success .. now we need to start showing more appreciation for how well staffed this location is- and maybe say a couple more words using nicer voice tone to the neighbors who SUPPORT this location and we're here since day one SUPPORTING the groundbreaking of what is now this few year old location. The location is now nothing new, and being set up for success having At least 3 employees after mid night is nothing new to the quality a reputable company Mc Donald's- a company that OFFERS a guarentee of quick, quality and fast service. I would understand if it was one person doing it all and trying to survive a shift like that.. but there were three people I saw.. ADVICE- owner- you're creating jobs for people and choosing this neighborhood is a win/win. MANAGERS- I'm not a jerk and appreciate and respect all that you do and have done. Perhaps research where your at a little bit more. Do you know who owns your location ? I do! Do you know that many of the neighbors that have been in the neighborhood were really excited for this location to open? I do! Do you employees know that they are appreciated? Do they feel a part of the Sherrelwood community .. because they are .. and these are generally nice people.. I'm not trying to bash.. we all loose sight sometimes ... this location is fairly new.. shouldn't be dirty or trashy... freshen it up a bit...
Read moreHorrible cust service last night! Friend and I went through drive-thru around 1a and ordered two burger meals, both large, and a 20 piece nugget to split. Got two large bags and two drinks. Dropped friend at home while i parked car a block away. He calls me and says a sandwich is missing. He's already called them and they told him to just come back. So I drive back to the drive-thru just to be told that i have to bring the food back. Why? "So we can make sure its not in the bag." Trust me, friend knows how to count and drive-thru guy knew which order it was cause he told me he remembered the "ketchup only" request. Its ridiculous to expect someone to drive back AGAIN. And why didnt they tell us to bring the food back when we had them on the phone!? I said screw it and went home. Ofcourse my food was cold by then (friend says the fries were lukewarm to start with) and we tried calling them again...no answer for the next hour when I went to bed. On top of everything else, I had no receipt to show the order because they were in cash only time when their system goes down for like an hour. Ive never been asked to bring the food back AFTER Ive driven home just to prove it wasnt in the bag. Even if i was trying to scam free food, who's to say i didnt already eat it before i brought the bag back to you? I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE GONE TO 24 HOUR BURGER KING ON 58TH NEAR WASHINGTON. BK has a better burger selection and nuggets are better. I chose Mcdonalds because I wanted their fries.
5/07/2018...Another horrible night at Mcdonalds. Showed up at 1150p on a sunday night and was told they were closing in two minutes and they ONLY had chicken tenders. Perfect cause I just wanted six tenders and a Coke. Total was $7.91. Got to window and was NOW told they didn't have change and she couldnt just round up cause it would short her drawer. This is TEN minutes before closing. No food and no change...seriously? Left...
Read moreThe McDonald's on 84th and Huron is AMAZING!!!! Let me start by saying I go to McDonald's it has been an awful experience. I hate going there to only reason I do is because my daughter's love the Happy Meals, the little toy's and the play places. However, it seems every time I go to McDonald's it is always a bad experience ether because someone who works there is a jerk with an attitude or they forget to give me something in my to go bag and of course I didn't look until I get home because I have a hungry 5 and 6 year old and a screaming 8 month old in the car and a million and one things to do at home. However, this experience was amazing. First off I didn't have to wait in line for 15 to 30 minutes, secondly I ordered 36.72 dollars worth of food but I was .23¢ short and they allowed me to get everything anyways (which NEVER happens at McDonald's), thirdly I had ordered a children's chicken nuggets and a 20 piece chicken nuggets, I asked if the BBQ sauce was in the bag, the wonderful gentleman replied by saying, "Yes, do you need more?" I said "if it's possible." Then he said "is two okay?" Normally they would have said yes for an additional .25¢ even knowing I didn't even have enough to pay my bill. ( I have had that happen to me more than once, both scenarios.) And fourth every employee I encountered was so very understanding, companionate and friendly. I offered to come back with the .23¢ and the manager said please don't waste your gas because I won't take it. How amazing and sweet is that?! I also had all of my food when I...
