I don’t think this place will last very long… Rudeness, stale old pastry’s, mediocre coffee and way over priced for what you get here…
The young lady at the register seemed very kind and knowledgeable. So nothing against her..
However, the older lady behind her making the coffee and getting the pastry seemed like such a winch. I’m assuming she is the owner… the whole time I am ordering she was giving me a death stare, not once did she say hello, or smile or anything. She was truly giving me the worst look. On top of that when she got my order wrong and I kindly asked for the correct order she snatched it from me and rolled her eyes. Then when I was receiving my coffee she was very visually upset with me for whatever reason. Mind you this was my very first time here… I wasn’t obnoxious or rude or any of that sorts. If I was a B then I could understand the rudeness. However I am very close to this business so I wanted some healthy interactions… I didn’t get that… So outside of the rudeness. My order and my friend’s order of pastry’s were very stale tasting a few days old. And hard to even chew. The coffee was mediocre…. And the price for all this was way too much. I absolutely will not be going back here. Every other place of business on main street is very very kind and family vibes so it’s hard to walk in to a business on the strip that has a stale woman working/owning the business… I gave two stars because of the young lady otherwise I would have one stared...
Read more(I will take this review down at some point in the future) Absolutely gorgeous and spotless spot. Beautiful surroundings and ambiance. The bagel breakfast sandwich with garlic aioli is amazing-- when staff can be bothered to make it.
Service is hit or miss, which is very sad and not a good omen for the success of a business. Across several visits I'm having about a 50% "decent service" rate when the other 50 is "wow, can not believe that happened/was said". Yesterday, case in point, I showed up 20 minutes prior to my class starting, and was the only one in line to order. I ordered my drinks, and a large group walked in behind me. The order taker put my empty cups aside, helped the larger group for the next 10 minutes including getting them their food, prior to touching my order. I could not believe what a weird choice that was, as if I had ordered rudely or withheld a tip (i ALWAYS tip). Bizarre choice for a 1 person workflow (the other person there was making food or something), unreasonable wait for a simple order (no shots required, super quick steam & go). Other times I've been told the ovens aren't ready for making breakfast sandwiches, or rolled eyes when ordering one. I'm just not sure what's going on with...
Read moreGreat space to get work done with good coffee and pastries.
For the handful of times I've visited, they've had more than one type of brewed coffee available -- today was a light roast from India (my choice today) and their medium House blend.
Prices are similar to nearby cafes for brewed coffee, espresso drinks, and pastries.
There's plenty of seating and tables both inside and outside. The outdoor patio, with its greenery, flowers, and lighting, creates a relaxing setting.
The one drawback for some may be the franchise-type vibe compared to the local feel of Symposium Coffee. Still, it’s a solid alternative when you want variety or just need a reliable place...
