So I know that they are all you can eat restuarant and generally at these places I know the strict rule in which you aren't able to take any of your food to go but because they are doing take out orders I think you should be able to take your remaining food home if you only went through the food line once since your obviously not trying to take advantage of the fact you can eat as much food as you possibly can then it should be allowed cause there's people like my wife who has a small appetite when she eats that causes her to have eat more than 3 times a days cuz she's eating such smaller portions and if you can prove that your not trying to just take advantage of the restuarant than it should be allowed in such cases. I wasted 16 dollars paying for her to only eat the portion size of an average 3 year old because she wasn't able to take her one and only plate home. Not coming back especially since we were made to feel very uncomfortable by multiple employees and one employee in particular made it really hard to for my family to ask for the exact foods and exact amounts of food requested prior to it being cooked since she obviously didn't understand English that well. I get that people need jobs and I'm all for people whom aren't native to America to have jobs so they can create a living for themselves but they should start somewhere in the back where they don't have interaction with customers until they can communicate...
Read moreThis is a "build your own stir fry" restaurant; you pick ingredients and sauces, and they cook them for you. The ingredients are fine, but the cook surface is convex, so all the sauce runs off. It's also hard to gauge how much you need, because all the sauces in the ingredient bar are watered down, so it's impossible to know how much you're getting of the actual sauce (soy sauce, oyster sauce, lime juice) and how much is just water. So the stir fry is pretty disappointing, and that's supposed to be the main attraction. You can add some store-bought sauces after it's cooked, like sriracha or plum sauce, but there's not enough variety to make up for the stir fry being cooked without adequate liquid.
Some add-ons are included with the meal; you can choose egg drop or hot and sour soup, and there's "ice cream." I didn't try the egg drop, but the hot and sour soup was bland and gelatinous, and the ice cream turned out to be chemical-tasting soft serve frozen yogurt. I recommend against getting either.
I'm giving it two stars because the food can be reasonably healthy, and you can top one batch with kikkoman teriyaki sauce and another with plum sauce and convince yourself the dishes are reasonably distinct, and it is an "all you can eat" place. But I can easily make something better at home, and that makes it pretty hard to justify the premium...
Read moreI come here occasionally and have always appreciated that I'm able to choose my ingredients, but never as much as my most recent visit. My wife and I recently started a low carb diet and it has significantly reduced our options for going out to eat. Of course, other restaurants have options that apear to be low-carb and one might think it safe to not bother the waitstaff for nutrtion facts, but I've been amazed how much sugar can be snuck onto the plate. Not a problem with Mongolian grill! I know exactly what's going into my dish because I put it there.
The waiter was very friendly. The ingredients were fresh. The chef is always fun; while plating your meal he'll often spin around while tilting your food sideways, defying gravity. 🤔😉 This visit was the first time I actually flinched because I thought for sure he had slowed down too much. Hehehe... With a confident smile he told me he's been doing this since before I was born. ... not sure about that, but he did get me this time. Next time maybe I'll sneak in some non-stick spray and spritz my plate before he picks it up from the stack. 😒😋 ... ... on second thought... after the first spin, the food would probably end up flying out at me... hmmm...
Well anyway, overall--good food & good...
