First off. I'm a straight shooter and expectations are real. I'll give a fast food joint 5 stars if it lives up to what it should be. Go ahead, check my reviews. I'll drop the heat if it sucks but this isn't Benihaha.
My pics suck because I dove right in. Sorry for that.
Chicken Teriyaki, Spam Musubi, and Mozerell Sticks. Aka the buzzed combo.
This place is clearly more Karaoke/Bar than restaurant when you chalk up the VP, Drink selection, games, and Karaoke (duh).
For a bar-esqe place 5 on the food. If you expect "gourmet" out of chicken teriyaki go back to class, you don't belong reviewing anything.
The hand wrapped and fresh made spam masubi (2) was on point. I ordered (2) to ne sure. No skimping on rice or sauce. Love that they slip in the Nori Komi Furikake rice seasoning. Lots of places miss thid in leiu of sauce and skimp on $0.07 rice. Comes hand wrapped (not suran) and fresh AF.
Chicken Teriyaki was what you'd expect. Rice, chicken, and sauce. But the salad al least had some Avacado. List the places that add it without charging you. I'll wait.
Mozerell sticks (6) were holy fresh and clean. My god. Look how clean they are cooked. Negative for no Marinara but they did not need them TBH. Damn were they the cleanest Mozzy Sticks.
I'll definitely be back to try the Yakisoba and curious if that burrito is deep fried or hand made? I'm sure anything fried here is on point!

Read moreIt was the atmosphere that drew me in. The atmosphere either works for you or it doesn’t. It’s a strip mall, it’s going to have that strip mall feel. The place looks like it hasn’t made up its mind what it wants to be and that works for me; a restaurant, a bar, a gambling place? It’s all three, like when a buddy installs a wet bar in his garage where he’s has that old sports car he’s been working on for years. It had that feel for me. There’s a pool table right in the middle of this small place. I love it. Being a small place appealed to me. The Lady here can do a good job cooking in her small kitchen too. I think teriyaki is her specialty? I ordered the yakisoba and I got teriyaki chicken on yakisoba noodles. Life is such an adventure. She’s got quite the selection of booze at the bar in a very attractive arrangement. I never went into the little side room for the gambling. If you have ever known anyone who has started business and ran a small business, the owner is good to talk to. If you are thinking about starting a business, a talk with her will encourage you. She knows the stress and rewards of...
Read moreWe stopped in a few days ago, and were very impressed. Although the seating area was small, it was extremely clean. The owner Kim was very warm and friendly as though she had known us as regulars for years. She welcomed everyone as they cams in. The food was what I expected for the price. We had a clipp coupon so the total for our lunch was less than $5.
I had the Cheese Steak and was big and tasty a little thinner than you would expect in filling but at was great at the menu price. The Thai Tea was top notch. My wife had Tempus shrimp and it was fresh and delicious.
A tip for Kim: She can cut the bun in 1/2 length wayss and use the same filling and it would still be a great deal. THe bun was HUGE and bigger than expected. But if you eat a lot of carbs its for you! Yes they have Video Gambling
We will be coming back even though we are on the other side of Portland for a 23-55 min drive (217) depending on time and date worth the drive.... ...
