Consumer Cellular, get ready for a bait-and-switch!
If I could give Consumer Cellular a negative -5 stars, I would. I switched to their service to lower my monthly bill as I have retired. After 13 calls and chat sessions with their Customer Service, due to failures with their service and their offer they have tried to bait-and-switch their offer 3 time. Twice I have forced the issue and they rectified it. I feel sorry for customers that didn’t realize they were being played. On the third time, mine and my wife’s cellphone stopped working. Up to Friday, Oct 31, 2025, for 3 months, we have not had any issues with their cellular service--Voice, Text or Data. On Saturday, Nov 1, both cellphones just stopped working--Voice, Text and Data. Chatting yet again with Consumer Cellular Customer Service, I was instructed to perform a network reset on both phones. My wife’s phone returned to service; however, mine did not.
After 5 days of no service, Consumer Cellular stated the issue is MY PHONE, that it needs a software update to work on their network. My cellphone no longer has software updates available! Don’t forget it was working on Consumer Cellulars network up to Oct 31, but the issue is now my cellphone. Hahaha.
Chatting now with a Supervisor at Customer Service, I was informed that they “did not guarantee that my phone would work” switching to their service!!! WOW, where did they ever state that when they were joyfully switching our service. Here comes the bait-and-switch again. I was told to purchase a new cellphone, which they offer on their website.

And when I met these guys in King City tiger area they went above and beyond was everything they did for me. I would recommend that store bar. None all the employees.
