Sarku Japan — Restaurant in Tigard

Probably my favorite restaurant in the food court because the food comes to you hot and tasty; you can see it being made in front of you if you want to watch. The menu is quite limited with only a couple of teriyaki meats, shrimp, and a few Japanese-inspired appetizers; however, what they have is very reasonably priced and serving sizes are adequate. Their teriyaki sauce is seriously addictive; even though I've had better, I can't help but regularly crave them. Sometimes they have a Tuesday deal where meals are cheaper, but their discounts are not quite consistent. Some of the employees are friendlier than others, and sometimes the lines are really long, so the experience can be less pleasant at times, especially during the weekend. I've always loved coming here- it's my number one choice to go to because the food is so freaking good! Plus, the customer service is always good. Plus, they normally move you through the line pretty fast as well. I love getting the grilled teriyaki chicken with rice and extra chicken as a meal. I always ask for extra teriyaki sauce as well and that just makes the dish. The only criticism I might have for the place is the price. Its a bit pricey for what you get, but its very much worth it. They got long queue most of the time. Why? Of course, inflation is real and people are switching to a fast cheap and good eateries where their pockets won’t be a problem.

Food here is too oily yet tasty and savory. The teriyaki chicken is people’s favorite but love putting some shrimp on it. The veggie delight is light but not that hearty (I can taste the msg.)

No time for chit-chatting here. You order, pay and wait in the corner for your number to be called. Portion is pleasantly generous. If I’m living in the area, I know where to go if I’m really hungry. Lol.
