I have a strong preference for Jersey Mike's when it comes to Italian subs. While it may not be comparable to a New York Italian Deli, it stands out for its authenticity and delicious taste. In my experience, I have yet to conquer a giant sub by myself, so I typically opt for the regular-sized options. Unlike some other sub shops, Jersey Mike's offers 100% fresh vegetables, bread, and cold cuts. My personal favorites include the Italian, steak and cheese, and turkey club.
The staff is generally efficient, but occasionally, depending on the individual working, the order-ahead process can be time-consuming. On one occasion, I placed an online order with a pickup time of 12:30 PM. However, when I arrived at the store at 12:40 PM, I had to wait an additional hour before my sub was ready. This was understandably frustrating, and I received a refund and left the store. I believe this issue has since been resolved.
Overall, I hold Jersey Mike's in high regard, and it is noteworthy that they are now available on Door Dash.
I commend Jersey Mike's for their...
Read moreI was less than impressed. There were a few people in the store, not a lot. We walked up to the counter, two people making food, a third at the register, 2 or 3 others in back. We stood there for about 5 minutes. Nobody asked for our order or so much as acknowledged us. So we moved up to the guy at the register. He ask us what the name on the order was. We told him we hadn't ordered yet. He said, "They'll take your order over there". (Gesturing towards where we'd just been waiting.) We stepped back to where we had been, stood there for about another 2-3 minutes without so much as an "I'll be with you in a moment." We left and went elsewhere. The following day I went on their website and left "feedback" telling of our experience. That was a week ago, and thus far I have gotten no response from the company either. The website did say that each location was franchised, and they would be sharing my report with the management of the store. Leaving me to believe that the whole issue is based on poor management. As I say, I was less than impressed, all...
Read moreThis was our first visit to Jersey Mikes sub shop and it was very busy. Got there a little after noon and it took about 30 minutes to get through the line. There were no clean tables when we walked in and during the hour or so we were there no one came out to clean any of the tables. People who wanted a table simply brushed the crumbs and trash onto the floor.
The sandwiches were good, but we've had better and they were the most expensive sandwiches we've ever bought. $34 for a giant Italian and a regular steak and cheese with chips and soft drinks. I realize the meat is cut fresh while you wait, in fact that is why the line is so slow - they only have one person cutting the meat, nothing happens until she is done. Even so it isn't worth twice the price of the competition. And they really need to keep the tables clean.
I'll have to think twice about going back especially when for just a few dollars more I can get a good sit down meal with a cold beer at a clean table. (And that...
