Visiting my hometown from Seattle and was told I need to check out the newest coffee shop. The place I was staying at had the Kraken stocked so I could wake up to a wonderful cup of joe.
The next day when exploring all the new places on US-1 we found the shop and was welcomed by some nice cold air conditioning. There were a few people ahead of us which allowed me time to decide on what to try and take in the decorations of this cozy shop. As it was mid morning and hot out, I ventured out of my normal order that I get in the PNW and chose the cold brewed over ice. It had a wonderful smooth dark texture. Should have gone for the bigger size as it didn't last as long as I had hoped.
A couple days later I returned for a visit with a friend from long ago who didn't even know about this place yet. I had the Cuban (cafe con leche) this time. It was in a to-go cup, but I bet during non Covid times it would be presented in a nice traditional cup. I picked up another bag of the Kraken to take back with me and share with the family. They have a nice selection of mugs, hats and other things to purchase. This is the type of shop I think will do wonderful and I hope it becomes many peoples go to for their...
Read moreMy husband and I are regulars and come in almost 3-4 times a week. The past couple visits there’s two blonde younger ladies that work and they both wear a low braid. Everytime we come in they just have really snobby attitudes. Don’t smile at all, we ask they how they are doing they say good and don’t really respond much after that. They typically always get my drink wrong and it’s like clock work that my drinks always terrible. Or when I get a drink that comes with toppings they don’t add the toppings like the s’mores iced coffee. I asked about why it wasn’t on they go “ well I mean we can add them”. I only like going when the girl who’s short with brunette hair works she’s always smiling and always remembers our drinks. Idk both of those girl never seem like they want to be there it’s very unwelcoming and very much don’t really want to be here. I just feel like if your going to be the first interaction for a business you should be a little more enthusiastic especially considering we’re there...
Read moreStarted following this business on social media well before their official opening. Have stopped in a few times now for coffee and really pleased to see this new business receive so much community support. No drive thru, but definitely worth parking for! Small venue, seating comfortably for a dozen or so. Justin, the owner, has been my barista each time. That's actually really awesome because I can explain what type of drink I'm in the mood for and because he knows his product so well is able to make really fantastic suggestions. The roaster is front and center, but the rest of the place is really nicely decorated - with an emphasis on the coffee beans themselves and where the originate from. They sell ground and whole beans, branded merch and fresh baked goods from a bakery around the corner. I'm a coffee junkie - and it's nice having so many wonderful options to get my coffee fix. Definitely worth adding to your list - the quality of the brew will make...
