Sunrise makes fresh-baked breads every morning before (yup, you guessed it) sunrise. Because it bakes with all natural ingredients, the health and diet-conscientious need not worry about unwanted preservatives.
I’m talking banana nut bread, golden honey oat bread, jalapeno cheese bread, marble rye bread, raspberry swirl bread, pumpernickel bread, walnut cinnamon raisin bread, etc.… and that’s just Sunrise’s bulk bread loafs!
Typically, when I grab lunch at Sunrise, I snatch up a cheese roll, the “soup of the day,” a smoothie, and (sometimes) a peanut butter cookie. Soup is a newer—very much welcome—addition to Sunrise’s menu, with a new soup made daily. Occasionally, there will be some leftover soup from the day before, meaning you get a choice between yesterday’s soup and the current day’s soup. Soups include: broccoli and cheese, potato and ham, and clam chowder. To be certain I’ll like the daily menu, I call ahead to see what is being offered, though the day/soup match is almost always consistent.
All soups come with a medium-small roll, usually wheat bread but occasionally herbal or rye. I like to tear mine in pieces and use it to mop up the lingering soup in my plastic bowl, though often I end up devouring the entire roll before I’ve officially started on my soup. Sunrise soup is dished out hot—burn-your-tongue hot—so dipping bits of the roll into the soupy mix to test its heat is often a necessary ritual.
Sunrise’s cheese rolls are gooey, swirls of delight. Think: cinnamon roll, but with cheese. They’re incredibly savory solo, and even tastier with a side of soup (tear off strips and dunk it in!). Deceptively doughy on the outside, they become cheesier and warmer towards the center, making each bite more rewarding than the last. Heat them up in Sunrise’s user-friendly microwave and eat them warm!
Cookies, muffins, scones, and pastries are all made from natural ingredients and don’t leave a “greasy” lingering aftertaste. Sunrise makes its desserts soft and “thick,” where the natural goodies feels “packed” in. Triple chocolate muffins are moist and heavy. Peanut butter cookies are the size of small saucers and juicy with creamy nuttiness. I rarely get a dessert when dining alone since the sheer size makes them more suitable to split (especially those muffins!), but taking the rest home in a brown paper bag is always an option, too.
While coffee may be the go-to drink for many a patron wishing to sip, sit, and study over Sunrise’s free Wi-Fi, I more often go for the smoothies. Due to their sheer frigidity, I don’t recommend them on any remotely cold day (but let’s be honest, this is Florida; how many of those do we have?). Sunrise makes their smoothies with real fruit juice. Mango is my go-to, though the “chocolate soy peanut” variant offers something even sweeter for sugar-seekers.
Because it’s a daily-made bakery, Sunrise often runs out of certain goods by afternoon, including their popular cheese rolls and soups of the day. If you’re looking to grab lunch or dinner there, it’s always a good idea to have a back-up plan in case that soup, roll, or dessert you have your eyes on has already been swiped off the shelf for the day. The bakery is full of friendly staff most always available to answer a question about the availability of a certain baked good, so feel free to call in advance if you’re uncertain.
If you find yourself in downtown Titusville, Sunrise Bread Company is worth a stop. Whether you’re desiring a quiet sanctuary, looking for free Wi-Fi, or needing a healthy, all-natural power meal to jumpstart your day, Sunrise has you (and your...

This was my first time in here, despite passing by countless times. I was slightly intimidated coming in here, and slightly skeptical when it comes to their coffee. Growing up with a Cuban mom, my coffee standards are pretty high. I'll start by complimenting their coffee. It was amazing. Not many places can masterfully craft such an amazing latte. I have probably one of the best delonghi espresso machines at home so my every- day coffee is a treat for most, and makes it hard to impress me with coffee. Sunrise Bread Co. Did just that though. The amount of simple syrup added, the froth, the coffee grind, everything.... made the perfect cup of coffee.
Next, the food. I had the apple crisp sandwich on wheat toast, which surprised me. It was a toss up between that and the breakfast cup with biscuits and gravy. The fact that the gravy isn't home made, kind of disappointed me and steered me the other direction. But, I will still give it a try on my next visit. Anyways, the apple crisp sandwich had turkey, something, something, and yes! Crisp small slivers of apple, then topped off with bacon... MMMMM! it was delicious. I would 10/10 recommend this place and I will 100% be back to try out more of the menu... my recommendations to the restaurant, Try making your own gravy! It is incredibly easy, and a bit of sausage changes things drastically!
Oh, I almost forgot one of the best parts, the atmosphere. Grab your food downstairs, then eat down there or head up a small set of stairs to an extremely cozy and comfy dining/ chill lounge area. See the photos for reference.
Long story short, this place is phenomenal, don't pass it up like I did for so long. Get in there and check it out!
Update: I will get one of their awesome hats and maybe even one of their super cool shirts next time I'm in there! All for showing support for awesome places!
Update, went back for the breakfast cup, and it was awesome! Also got the raspberry scone and was blown away! 2 for 2, this place is a new...
Read moreThere is so much to love here, but also room for growth and improvement that would take such a place over the top! The coffee is good - not the best I've had, but not the worst either. They do have many drink options, iced and hot, but, in my coffee-snob opinion, they tend to be a bit weak in flavor and strength. Also, I'd LOVE the option of an actual mug versus JUST paper cups. There is just something better about a coffee in a mug! The same goes for all of their food; everything is served on/in paper or to-go containers. I understand the work it saves in dishes, but it is a different vibe and taste, in my opinion, and I'd appreciate the option. We love their bread loaves, especially the banana nut and zucchini. The other baked goods are much like the coffee - a little lacking in flavor. I do love that they are fresh, made in-house, and with simple ingredients, though. My favorite muffin is the morning glory. As for ambiance, here again, I feel like they're just not living up to their potential! I love the tables and chairs upstairs and down, but the decorations are dated, dusty, and just meh all around. In 18 months, I've never seen any of the clocks in working order. It's not a huge deal, but it is also a super easy fix that says, "We're on top of things round here!" The upstairs is a great place to chill alone or with a group while you enjoy your food and drink, but it needs a good tending to, as well. Dusty and dated decorations everywhere, but plenty of space and potential to make the place super welcoming and cozy. It just seems like it gets forgotten. I do love the local artist goods for sale up and downstairs, as well as their monthly vendor events that help local artists. The kids' kitchen area downstairs is SUCH an awesome option! Parents/care givers can eat and sip while their kids play! Overall, this is a good place, and I do recommend it. I just think they could really blow it out of the water with a few...
