Not our usual Mexican-American spot but one we enjoy. Love their margaritas - not too sweet. Good chips and salsa. We shared a guacamole appetizer. I had the Pollo Margarita, chicken breast was flavorful, well cooked without being dry. Hubs had the Carne Asada and definitely enjoyed it - really liked the seasoning. Cooked to order (medium) which he appreciated. Our waiter was very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu. Interior decor is pretty typical of Mexican restaurants in the area. 2 story dining patio with great views of the river, downtown Toledo and Promenade Park. Great spot to sit and relax with a marg or sangria. Appreciated that our waiter didn’t rush us but allowed us to sit and enjoy our drinks and the nice weather.

Very neat looking place with a nice bar. Sitting right on the water with views of downtown Toledo. I can only imagine sitting on that deck in the summer it would be beautiful. It only took maybe 2 minutes to get seated on a Friday night, so that was nice. We had drinks and salsa/chips quickly as well. The server was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. Food took maybe 10 minutes to come out, was all. I got the Vallarto fajitas, and my wife got the chimmichaga meal. Mine was ok. The flavor of the shrimp and chicken was good, but the steak seemed like it was microwaved. The vegetables were hot and seemed fresh. The rice and beans weren't good at all. My wife said hers was good. I may try it again

Food was decent but the drinks were absolutely the lightest weakest I've had in a while. I even got one with no ice or water and it was disappointing. Just get beer hard to mess that up. The handling of the covid-19 really makes this a difficult restaurant to eat at. I feel like they could have done a lot better with the setup and seating arrangements. Someone really should take a minute to improve the process of dealing with the alleged pandemic. With all that said the service was not good. I thought it was cause they were busy (cause it was when we got there) but in the middle of our meal I used the restroom and have the people were gone. Anyway hopefully someone reads this.

First time customer, and won’t return. Server wouldn’t stay at the table long enough to answer questions. We were greeted with “hi what do you want to drink?” Couldn’t tell you her name because she never told us. She was walking away as we were asking questions about the menu. We asked for more salsa and 20 mins went by without it. Went inside to see what was taking so long with the salsa and our server was sitting in a booth socializing with her coworkers. Food came around 10:30, and my order was incorrect. I had to go to the host stand to speak to the manager about correcting my order because our server was nowhere to be found.

We were notified at 10:41 that the doors were locking in 5 minutes. Out of confusion we asked for clarification, does that mean we need to leave and the host replied yes, I’ll notify your server to bring you boxes. We expressed that we were already in the restaurant and will leave when we finish. They brought boxes then said “well we’ll give you 15 more minutes to finish eating” as we were packing up. I expressed how uncomfortable we were, how horrible the service was, everything was replied with an excuse and the focus was closing and getting everyone out of the restaurant. As we are explaining our frustration the server walks away, again. The host who kicked us out brought the manager back and the manager said he never told the host to tell us to leave and that we requested the boxes we received 😂 I expressed that as a former server, I understand what it’s like but I have never in my life received service so awful.

The manager took $40 off the bill, AFTER we repeated our frustration and expressed the need for something to be done as this was totally inexcusable.

On the bright side, there is a very pretty view if you...

Long review... Where to begin.... After we placed our order, we waited. After about an hour a man I believe was another server asked if we were waiting on our check... We said no our food. He walked away and another man I believe was a manager came to our table and spoke with our tablemates and argued with them that we had not waited an hour it was only 50 min (😕) and our food would be right out... Ok. So the food arrives via a runner not our server, 2 of us ordered fajitas, 1 ordered el molcajete ranchero both dishes usually come out sizzling and nearly boiling hot... Nope not this time. My daughter ordered ground beef soft tacos, she got hard, sent back, got soft chicken tacos, sent back and finally got the right tacos. Our friend had ordered Cochinita Pibil, a rice bowl with a saucy pork on top, it was cold and dried out and looked like dog food atop some rice a roni. He did not even try it and walked out. Another friend order a steak quesadilla and got ground beef and another who has eaten there many times said his quesadilla was cold when in the past it was so hot he always had to wait to eat it. So out of 8 of us the only one that didn't get messed up was the chicken tenders for a 4 year old but I'd bet it was cold too. But she was too hungry to notice since we'd waited over an hour to get our food. Now the food likely would have been pretty darn good had it been hot. No explanation as to what the hell happened. A kitchen error? A server error? One couple did not get a bill. The other had $3.00 off and we got $5.00 off for the kids tacos....

We had a staff Christmas party their last night of 18 people. Very disappointed they refused to reserve but when we got they very uptight about not having room even though almost no one was there. Then made the mistake of telling us when we asked about the balcony up top that it’s reserved for couples who come in and don’t want to be with a crowd. The only good thing was the drinks. It’s way over priced I had chimichangas, rice and beans the food was burnt and the meat was dry. Took over 45 minutes to an hour just to get our drinks and almost an hour and a half to two hours before they started allowing us to order. Even though they had a bar upstairs no bartender. The waiters never asked if we wanted separate bills and mixed up everyone’s stuff. Billed people to much or to little and for got to charge them for stuff. They took over 40 minutes to get some people’s bill after they asked many times. No music it was so quiet we had to turn pandora on our phones. It’s the first Mexican restaurant we’re there was no music playing in the background. This place is ridiculously overpriced for the poor customer service and poor quality in food. Most the guest had complaints about the food. For 2 margaritas, 3 shots, and a chimichanga dinner with rice and beans came to $67 per person without a tip and during there drinks specials from 4-8pm this is ridiculous could of went to a steak house for that price. I do not...
