Hensville Park — Attraction in Toledo

My husband (eeek exciting!) and I had our wedding reception at Hensville, in the Armory above Fleetwood Taproom. We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this reception venue, and specifically about our coordinator, Ann! Back when we first got engaged, and we started the process of calling vendors and scheduling tours, it really became a no-brainer who to book with once we were introduced to Ann. She was very warm to us right away, even over the phone, and she was hands-down the most prompt venue coordinator we spoke with, out of several in the Toledo area. I was amazed at how quickly she returned (and continued to do so) any of our calls / emails throughout our planning process. Once we booked with Hensville, she stayed in touch with us over the course of our engagement. I mean it when I say we couldn't have had a more pleasant planning experience if it weren't for Ann. She checked in with us multiple times over the course of 16 months and offered help throughout the way, even offering us game tickets to us and our family members! We planned from out of town, but she made us feel like we were in Toledo the whole time. Needless to say, our wedding day was PERFECT! Ann and her team worked so hard to give us the wedding reception of our dreams and executed everything to perfection. Also shoutout to her boss Frank, who runs a world class operation. They work so hard at Hensville to make your Big Day what you want, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a unique space with a personalized touch for their wedding reception (or ceremony!) Hensville Park is a staple of the city of Toledo. With the Mudhen’s Stadium and the Huntinton Center nearby, Hensville is a great place. Progressive Field is home to the minor league baseball team the Toledo Mudhens. The stadium is an incredible experience in itself. There is entertainment, great food, and an awesome baseball team. They cater to people of all ages. There are games, toys, and shows for little kids. There are delicious food and beverage stands for teens and young adults. There is so much to do here. The Huntington Center is also just as great as the Mudhen’s Stadium. They are home to the Toledo Walleye hockey team. Walleye games are an amazing experience. They also cater to people of all ages with shows, games, food, and drinks. The Huntington Center also hosts many shows, concerts, and other events. There is so much to do and see at the Huntington Center. Hensville Park is home to both of these venues. They host the Hensville Christmas lights which are an amazing spectacle. Our wedding reception was hosted in the Armory Loft above Fleetwood’s. This space is INCREDIBLE! It truly is a blank canvas with so much character to it. I worked exclusively with Ann Linenkugel and I will tell you this woman is a Saint. She responded to every phone call, email, and request I had with promptness and politeness. I was at the start timid to the cost since it is an outright cost but let me tell you what you get for your flat fee- virtually everything! The way it breaks down is that you pay an outright fee for the vendor, this is your food and beverage minimum… meaning if you don’t meet the minimum you can add or upgrade your food/bar/late night snacks. I promise you this is the most affordable and amazing place to hold your wedding reception...
