Shame, shame, shame. Visited with 2 business partners from Korea for a dinner. This place embarrassed me completely. Ordered a Sasimi dinner, but there 12 thin sliced and discolored fish were served we all thought they were just an appetizer. We couldn't have ate anyway even if it was an appetizer, because they were not fresh at all. I asked more that twice to an waiter if it was a main dish we ordered. And his answer was surprisingly "Yes". I got so upset and feel cheated over a plate cost $25.00. I returned the order and expected either the chef or the owner came to explain at least or make an apology. But, it didn't happen. Unfortunately this will be our first and the last visit of this restaurant. We all now can understand why there were only 2 or 3 tables have customers. Again I am completely embarrassed to my overseas guests and feel cheated over a dinner worth over $25 that could have been a memorable night. Rest of the dishes were not even close being authentic Korean food nor have good taste. I would not recommend this restaurant to my wife or kids. Please don't take guests or significant people to this restaurant especially. Very unpleasantly dark inside and I never had such a bad experience in a restaurant. Very disappointing!!! Chris H
Read moreAlways an elegant dining experience. Interior has a dark, intimate feel, with modern decor, soft lights, massive wood slab tables, and a fireplace in the main dining room.
On multiple visits service has been attentive and intuitive. On weekends there may be a short wait for a table at peak times, but we have never been made to feel rushed to make room for another table.
This restaurant presents very well both many favorite Korean dishes like bulgogi and bibimbop, and Japanese sushi, sashimi, and nigiri. Korean pickled side dishes like kimchi and marinated tofu strips are delicious. Entrees and appetizers usually arrive quite promptly, and are prepared consistently well.
A couple steps up leads to a very elegant bar with comfortable club seating overlooking the dining room. It seems curiously underutilized considering how attractive it appears.
There are currently no hard liquors served, but the drinks menu includes several wines, sakis, special kombuchas and yogurts, and a delicious fermented spirit called soju that is well worth trying. We had the house soju and the grapefruit soju and found both excellent accompaniment with our meals.
Dinner for two is mid-priced, and a good value for the level of service and quality of food. One of our most favorite Toledo area restaurants, worth our trips to here from...
Read moreThe worst server of all time! The five of us went to this place for a night out. The server just simply was not skilled or trained enough. My wife and son ordered sushi and he brought just one small cup for the soy sauce. When my wife asked for a 2nd cup he rolled his eyes back. He kept going back and forth bringing in one dish at a time with a 5 minute gap. We waited 30 minutes before all of us got our meals. Then I asked for water for everyone , he never returned….30 minutes later we had to ask another server to serve us water.
Then collecting the dishes, he allowed our table to accumulate with dishes, he placed a serving tray and asked to place the dishes on it. We told him that it’s his job to do that.
Another 20 minutes later he gave us the bill. Twenty minutes after that he came back for our signature and we left a mere 10% tip.
A group of people sat next to us and this waiter made them wait 20 minutes and asked them if they wanted appetizers. They were like, ah…can you give us the menu first? We warned them about this server.
Now the food was excellent. Hope this dude who looks Asian and wears glasses gets training. Otherwise go somewhere else or ask for a...
