Quenched & Tempered Brewing Co. Taproom — Restaurant in Toledo

We were stoked to try this place, but we ended up wishing we had gone somewhere else. I'll start by saying the place is cute, nice beers and decor and the idea is cool. We love trying new restaurants throughout Toledo, but this one we will not return to. The people working there, were space cadets. I ordered loaded tots with BBQ pulled pork. Sat down, waited about 25 minutes, and my friend had already received their food. I went up to the counter and asked about my order. I was told "10 minutes" .. and that's all he said. I said okay and sat back down. About 10 minutes later, a woman approached our table and said they had ran out of tots and someone had to go to the store to buy more and that they would be back with the tots shortly and they could fulfill my order. I was not told this in the beginning so I could have chosen another item. The woman she said she would comp my tots due to the inconvenience and wait. When I finally did go to check out, they had only taken $5 off my order. I wasn't expecting free stuff, but I did expect communication or common courtesy. I mean, come on... they sell 3 food items- tots, nachos and wings. They were out of 1/3 of their menu items? We won't be back. My friend ordered the rice bowl and the rice wad super dry, clumped and there much to it besides a mountain of rice and a few pieces of pork. My BBQ pork tots were ok, but definitely something I could prepare at home pretty easy with BBQ sauce and...

First time customer.... We tried a couple beers on tap.... Pretty tasty!

We got a couple appetizers to share... Pretzel and Beer Cheese (beer cheese was almost like a whipped butter type of cheese, not what i was expecting texture wise) pretzel was hot and most likely was frozen and then air fried to serve.

We also tried the truffle tots (it's like a 1/2 bag of tater tots). They were very tasty but very over priced. Air fried as well or tasted like they were but they needed another 4 minutes or so to get crispier. If you're going to serve fried food it really shouldn't be served in a bowl/piled up because the steam from the potatoes on the bottom has nowhere to vent and makes them soggy. Maybe consider smaller portions in the same serving dish, or, a different way to present and serve them.

Tables were also set up very weird... There were more 6 tops than 2 tops. Almost every group in there were in a party of 2 but had to sit with strangers... Not exactly how i wanted to spend my date night with my partner.

Food was over priced. Beer was delicious. The guy taking our order seemed clueless and wasnt very welcoming to new customers.

Quenched & Tempered Brewery has become our favorite spot since we stumbled upon it last August, and it’s about time I share how much we love this place! While the food and beer are fantastic—especially the pretzels and their IPAs—the people, the environment, and the events are what keep us coming back almost every week.

The staff here is incredibly approachable and friendly, and we appreciate having a reliable place to unwind where our kiddo can feel comfortable, too.

While trivia night every Wednesday has become the highlight of our week, we also enjoy the occasional game night and other special events—no matter when we visit, we always have a great time.
