Glass City Cafe — Restaurant in Toledo

First off, it's a diner not a cafe. They have a full kitchen and serve real breakfasts and lunches. No frappuccinos, or fancy coffees. That said, as far as diners go, they've got it all. Way more food on a single order than any one person should eat. Mediocre, yet, consistent coffee. Neighborly wait staff. And plenty of local paraphernalia to let you know that yes, you are in Toledo. Charming to say the least. Nothing 5 star or fine dinning about the place. But as far as blue collar coffee shops go, this one...

I went there on several occasions while downtown in Toledo during the morning/early afternoon. I love their food and the place is small, private, and personal. Every time I went, I had something different. Not once did I wish I had ordered something else. I'd recommend it to anyone that wants good food, reasonably priced, with some cool Toledo treats. I very disturbed by the closing and hours, the son sitting up stairs can't keep the place open, makes me upset. I've been trying to catch them open for 5 or more years and can't forget they chili dog was the best I've ever had and when I bring my friends there to show them, they're closed. I seen from reading the reviews where the owner replied. That is appreciated. I just need to know why the son doesn't want to help...
