Let's cover this whole situation.
I got this delivered through doordash, which always has its ups and downs, but this time the food was the entire issue.
I ordered Queso, which they were out of (fine, sometimes that happens), but decided to replace it with guacamole (which sadly I can't eat), and apparently $4 worth is about two ounces, which is generally disappointing.
Then I tried the enchilada I ordered, and the tortilla was dry, the meat was burnt, and it had pieces in the meat that must have been hardened fat or tendons or such, because they weren't even chewable, let alone edible.
I also decided to try the horchata since it's usually always a good, easy drink to have. While it's somewhat good, whoever made it was EXTREMELY heavy handed on he cinnamon...even as someone who likes a lot of it, this felt extreme.
Honestly, the only saving grace of the meal was the rice, which had more flavor than some of the other places around here.
It's possible that this is just a single bad experience, and I'll probably have to try them again to see if it's better, but man, I'm not going to go out of my way to try it again, and quite frankly, we have numerous other, better places that are around others should consider.
PS: If you're the type of person that likes chips and salsa, pass on it, since their salsa is more hot...
Read moreI loved the lady that was there yesterday, but I didn’t appreciate how she ignored us. We were a walk-in and dine-in and she ignored us, and when we walked up to her to give her our order she said she was busy taking an online DoorDash order first.
Then she took ours after. Ok, I thought the food would make up for the service, well it didn’t.
I ordered the Azada fries on the menu and they were terrible. They had a moldy flavor to them. At first I thought, maybe it’s ranch or vinegar from the jalapeños but they just didn’t taste right.
Well I didn’t eat those but I did take a few bites out of them and I ate a pastor traditional taco and a tripa taco. Well, about 45 minutes later my stomach was aching so bad and I had food poisoning.
That was the only meal I’d had all day, so I know it wasn’t anything else that made me sick. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I also have to let people know, if you go there you might get sick. And you might not get good service...
Read moreI've passed by this place a few times and finally decided to stop in, I'm really glad i did! The service was great - everyone was so nice, and the food was delish! The place is small, but it was cute inside. I would definitely consider this a little hidden gem - it's tucked into a plaza, and worth the effort to try and get to during the lunch hour traffic on Secor. I got the Watermelon Aguas Fresca, which is basically freshly blended watermelon and water, which was really refreshing and not too sweet! We got an appetizer of Elote Fiesta, which is spicy potato chips smothered in corn, cream, a couple kinds of cheese, and lime. The other dishes we ordered are the traditional tacos (carne asada/steak), Birria Tacos, and Asada Fries. Everyone at the table was really happy with their orders, and I'll absolutely be coming back! The server also informed me that the refried beans are in fact vegetarian, in case anyone is looking for...
